1.) I love your sister's sense of humor 😂 2.) You shouldn't discredit your own book, even if it's self published every author starts somewhere. 3.) You should write another book about your experience living in the van for three years. 4.) How have you not seen The Lord of The Rings! That has to be the first movie you watch in the new van. I know it may seem scary because of the run time but if you're into the whole fantasy/medieval times/sci-fi type of stuff the movie will be over before you know it and you'll be left saying "that's it!?!" Definitely recommend, 5 stars, 10/10, two thumbs way up, 100%, chef kiss.

Never easy to close out a part of our life (moving on to another job, graduating from a school, moving away from family and friends to another area, etc.). But sometimes we need to continue growing who we are. Long ago, when I worked in the TV business and has to leave LA and move back home due to a family emergency, Bill Allen (the son of the late Steve Allen) stopped by my office at MTM Television as I was packing up. He said to me, "It may be hard to see today, but sometimes as one door closes, another will open for you." As you are closing the door on your life in the current van, you are opening a new door to your next vanlife. Looking forward to seeing the new van build.

For those of us who have been following your travels for a while, getting rid of the Red Camper is strangely bittersweet for us as well. Much like other Famed vehicles: The Batmobile, KITT, the A-TEAM van, there was something about the Red Ford that made us link to your adventures. but there's a new vehicle waiting to be the next awesome ride. We know that in order to grow we must extend ourselves past our confort zones, and so it makes sense that once a home becomes too comfortable, if you want to keep growing, you need to open a new page. It doesn't reduce from the bravery required, and I have a lot of appreiciation for your ability to continue forward. Despite what might be said in some Disney films, people are like rivers. Always flowing, whether they like it or not. Chosing to continue forward on your own terms, that's a reflection of one of the things I noticed about you that made me follow you in the frist place: You control your own destiny. Thank you for sharing your emotions and you journey in this van for the past three years. Can't wait for your next journey.

I am an Amateur Astronomer and travel to several different areas in the US to view the night sky. I also use the van to go to music festivals and camping. Over the years I have customized 2 vans to meet my needs. I had uneasy feelings every time I sold them. My last purchase was a used Ram City Van that I am now converting. Each time I sold a van I downsized. It would not work living in a van of this size full time but it suits my needs for a week or more. Good luck and safe travels🙂

That door issue is super common. If you give it a bump on the rear end of the door it opens right up. Never bothered trying to fix it on my Promaster

I believe I sold it for $56,000 which was very under market price… I realize I sold it for less than it was worth, not by a lot but I think it was easily worth $60K which I began to realize while looking at the market afterwards (full of people WAYYYY over pricing their vans) but I really wanted to sell it fast so I undercut the price which I kind of regret now since I am trying to build the same van basically in a much different market & finding everything is much more expensive than when I bought it in 2020. 😅 Hopefully that helps!

Will your next adventure include a travelling companion or companions? Perhaps a cat or a dog? I sense a profound uncertainty, and lack of confidence in your own abilities. How does faith play into this? What are your passions? What would you do differently if you became a Fullbright recipient and money was no longer an issue for at least a year? You can be anything you want to be. Dream it! Live it! As long as your mind and heart are committed to these choices. The first step in self-discovery is to know yourself, know your talents, and become very comfortable in your own skin. You might want to schedule one volunteer work day per week in the cities and places you visit. By focusing outward, you are not as consumed by the anxieties produced in your own mind.
