The thing is, she sings for the women in those situations wishing they could some how be saved. She isn't really supporting murder, but for people in that situation she is basically saying "I hear you. Before it gets this far...get out please!" These songs are not her life but most of us know someone in that situation...some of the abused are men as well as girls...and children suffering without being seen. Every one of her murdered him songs are to draw attention to the situation her songs expose... Maybe those of us not in that situation will help someone excape. Well except the Christine car in two black Cadillacs. That is more of be afraid least we join together to teach you how to not cheat. totally a joke...right?🤔. 😆😅😂🤣

Carrie has a lot of different songs about other subjects as well, but a lot of her most famous revolve around getting "revenge" since she is able to put the soul behind the lyrics. Few, if any, can make you feel the raw emotions that women feel better than her, which in turn resonates and lets people feel heard and validated.

What Carrie is trying to say is there is to many women that stay in abusive relationships. Anyone in this type of situation needs to get out of it. Go get help remember if you stay in this situation then it won't improve. Let your inner strength come out and leave. These situations never have a good ending. Go find the light at the end of the tunnel and change your life.

Yeah, Carrie sings some of the best type of vengeance songs. Another great song of hers is Cowboy Casanova. Not a vengeance song, more of a stay away from that sexy guy cause he's a heartbreaker. And the beat is so awesome. And no, the change in clothes is just video from different concerts. xD Also, I'm guessing this song was about an older time (judging by the terms lawman and oil man. It's very pioneer timesy sounding), when the law didn't consider abuse against women to be anything more then a private family matter and the right of a man to do what he wants with his woman. So murder was her only option back then, or suffer quietly as most women did back then.

No offense but I was a victim of an abuser and yes you can have them arrested but as soon as they get out their just gonna beet your ass worse than he did before they locked him up,and yes people say get a restraining order against him, that's just a piece of paper, WHAT!!!!!! Been there done that and ended up on life support, no thank you, I wish I'd been strong like Jenny, forgive me God for saying that 🙏 😔 😢
