FORESTELLA are considered "kings of harmonies". They cover top songs of all genres in different styles, adding their own flavors, making each song their own, always respecting the original. They just turned "Bad Romance" upside down with their new version, which went viral. Each voice is unique on its own, but when they create these incredible harmonies together, stunning! Technically highly qualified, they are able to produce (always live!) the most incredible sounds. 4 singers can sound like 40. Don't miss out on this musical delight and continue to react.

Thank you for your reaction. I totally agree with you. This group is unique in everything they do. Beautiful interpretation of this often covered song by Serge Lamas. (Who specifically praised FORESTELLA for this version). Four devastated abandoned lovers whose pain, frustration and grief are expressed through incredible vocal techniques and harmonies. 4 singers who totally identify with their performance and who can hardly be surpassed in terms of emotionality. That's just stunning.

Thank you for your wonderful reaction! This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! This is famous French song, Je suis malade. (I'm sick) The original singer is Serge Lama however Forestella sang this song as an homage for Lara Fabian's version. It notes in the lyrics with terms in feminine form (orpheline, heureuse). But Serge Lama posted his praises about this stage on his official SNS. (Twitter, IG, FB). Forestella released their Korean version of this song in their 3rd regular album: the Forestella. 눈물 속에 홀로 (Alone in tears) has lyrics in Korean. Even the words in the lyrics were changed alot from the original Je suis malade, you can feel the deep emotions and vibes of original in it if you try to listen. One of the members of Forestella (Bae DooHoon) contributed in writing some lyrics in Korean as well. Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us in King of Kings and Unwritten Legend too. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. “Je suis Malade” was written by famous French singer & songwriter Serge Lama together with composer/singer Alice Dona in 1973. This is based on his own experience and he was the original performer, hence some lyrics are a bit male-oriented (eg my mother leaves me, whiskies, I pour my blood in your body, …). When Serge Lama had a dinner with Alice Dona and told her about his obsessive love that was leading to a road block, she came back home and compose the music in a couple of hours. The morning after, she presented him the music and he wrote the lyrics in … 20 minutes. Serge Lama was the original performer in 1973, it started to be promoted on the radio, and the song was brought to fame only when, a few months after, Dalida covered it. She was an absolute mega star in France, another emotional powerhouse, and this song resonated very much with her own feelings. Her success with this song transformed it into a french classic, and started to make it famous abroad. But it is Lara Fabian that really made this song a very popular song in many countries with her cover in the mid 90s. At that time Dalida had already passed away, but Serge Lama was (and is) still alive. Dalida and Serge were two inspirations for Lara, so she sent an audio copy to Serge of her version. She was unknown at that time in France but he was so impressed with her vocal skills and her emotions rendering that he invited her in France to sing it as a duet. They became good friends. Lara has made some subtle changes to the song that gave it even more power and Serge Lama adopted these in his later interpretations. Here's some brief background on the group: Forestella was formed in 2017 on the South Korean TV show Phantom Singer 2, which they won! The members from left to right are Ko Woorim, Kang Hyungho, Cho Mingyu, and Bae Doohoon. Woorim: bass, 27 years old, classically trained opera singer. Hyungho: tenor/falsetto sopranist, 34 years old, no formal training - he was the vocalist of an amateur rock band, and worked as a chemical engineer and researcher. Mingyu: tenor, 32 years old, classically trained opera singer. Doohoon: tenor, 36 years old, musical actor. This is Bae Doo-Hoon's song. The others were stunning, but his emotion just breaks you. The others all get "their" songs to shine on. Same as others, I'll say "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Bad Romance", "Shape of you", "Time in a bottle", "Hijo de La Luna". Not sure if you've reacted to Dimash. (If not, try "SOS").
