Also, the trick to having procedures denied is to ask the insurance company the name of the *medical professional* who denied the the prodecure. 99% of the time, insurers do not have doctors on staff-- and they never want to be caught out on that. So they will *usually* approve the procedure in short order.

I've had this happen. I was billed as uninsured for $600, and then when they applied insurance I got a corrected bill for $5k with insurance covering half of that. These Insurance companies are still making money even if they paid out with the majority of these "unnecessary" tests. Should be a law that the amount you pay is the amount they have to shell back out if a doctor asks for it.

I have no idea why KZbin recommended this video to me, because I was looking at exhaust comparisons for my Corvette, but I actually have experience with this same problem you have. In 1998 I was assigned to a Special Forces unit in Colorado. As part of my Airborne school physical, blood work was done and the results came back much like yours, with the exception of the liver markers. I was told it was an indication of possible male breast cancer and, funny enough, lumps were found...I don't know if it still is, but at the time breast cancer was 100% fatal in men. I went to Airborne school, graduated, came home and had surgery to remove the lumps, which turned out to just be gynecomastia. 26 years later I'm 51 and still kicking, still the same weight (6'0"/160) and still relatively healthy, minus the aches and pains in my back and knees. My point is that IF everything comes back negative and the doctors have exhausted all possibilities, and you feel okay physically, put it out of your mind and enjoy your life, because you will make yourself sick dwelling on the "what ifs", and you will lose all interest in the things you love doing.

Well the only liver marker he has is high SHGB, which _could_ just be a healthy reaction to sky-high T level. And whatever his issue is, it's been affecting him since puberty, or that much T would give him a voice like darth vader. I doubt he's had liver disease since middle school, and currently seems tall, fit, reasonably athletic, clear skin, etc. But yeah "worry" can cause all kinds of problems. Placebos are about 25-40% effective (both positive and negative), it's very possible to talk yourself into feeling sick.

Insurance claim specialist here! I can tell you right now you may have accidentally uncovered some fraud or something of that insurance company, that pricing is most certainly not supposed to work like that. Also they need reasonable cause to deny a cost coverage for something, if you’re getting tests done for what sounds like a potentially life altering condition then they cannot refuse (by law). This all makes me very curious who you have insurance through.

For your insurance, for future reference, you can ask for a list of all individuals who had a say in denying your claims. 99% of the time they will change their decision BECAUSE most insurance companies have people who are NOT medical professionals looking for key words in your claim to accept or decline it, which is a MAJOR HIPPA violation.

Hai Styro! I hope you're kicking well on that side, I'm a Biochemist who specialises in human metabolomics and your case is interesting to say the very least. Honestly you have a super power!! High levels of testosterone probably means your DHT and oestrogen levels are low. High testosterone means that you experience pain to a lesser degree than normal men and you have a lesser degree of fear than any normal man and to be frank this makes sense in your case. Not a lot of scientists or engineers will have fun playing with high voltage lasers and electricity and you do it without giving it a second thought(which is pretty freaking cool) If you want to investigate your case a bit further I would recommend doing a metabolic screening test to see if your kidney and liver is doing ok and haven't caught any damage as high levels of any hormone can have effects on your organs. Best of luck and please keep on inspiring us! My thought on this could be that you gained radiation damage that cause a point mutation to up regulate your testosterone and maybe down-regulated your DHT and oestrogen. Another theory is that your brain is not releasing the correct amount of stimulating hormone and that can have an effect on your test being super high. Also if testosterone or DHT or oestrogen is too high it would outcompete the other hormones and take them to near zero as your body thinks it doesn't need to make them any more. It would be cool to see the rest of your hormones results. This all sounds to me to be genetic(genetic damage) rather than a tumour problem. genetic testing could give you the right result, also ask if they can test your mom and dads DNA so that they can pinpoint if this was a genetic mutation/genetic damage. Edit: metabolic screening is literally scientists testing your urine and comparing the results same as blood tests, also man you definitely should regard this a super power! YOU"RE ALSO CHASING STORMS FOR FUN WTF! another edit: ask more plates more dates (he's on YT) he does these tests at his clinics in Canada for a fraction as what the US would ask and they have scientists who can give you some better answers, honestly the future of medicine is science not Doctors, as there is too many novel problems that Doctors have never faced and only scientists can give analytical answers. and Scientists do it for a fraction of the cost...

I will say that I really doubt it's anything super serious and try not to spiral into worst case scenarios. It's probably something congenital and not cancer or something crazy and you will most likely be okay. I know it's hard to wait. I will comment again if I figure anything out, but it's also hard without having any tests or diagnostics. I know waiting for this crap sucks. Good luck. Love your content.

Hey styro. I'm a doctor in NY. Extremely high levels of testosterone is suspicious for something called Leydig cell tumor which is a type of testicular cancer. This is common in young men. There would be other biochemical markers but I would recommend you getting a testicular ultrasound. You can also do self exam to see if you can feel any lumps or painless swelling. I understand it may be overwhelming with the feeling of uncertainty regarding your health but I urge you to undergo more testing as it is a type of cancer and can potentially be cured if caught early.

Funny enough Styro acts a lot like I did before I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Guessing my testosterone was way high too. I was actually 35ish when I was diagnosed. 2 doctors told me I didn't have it. But in one month a testicle got BIG and heavy! It was like a rock! It didn't feel like it was part of my body anymore. I had an ultrasound years prior and they said it was scar tissue. In other words doctors can't really tell and it's such a low impact cancer usually that you wouldn't dare to take a biopsy. I got that problem removed and opted for 2 years of cat scans to check my retroperitoneal (or something like that). It was a good move as that was 10 years ago and I've had no issues, plus didn't have to do chemo or radiation (which damages your body immensely). My testosterone is normal and I don't have any ED issues even at almost 50! So don't freak out, but be prepared to handle the situation quickly if you have it. That could keep you in 1A as opposed to waiting and pretending nothing is wrong.
@Dudeguymansir
@Dudeguymansir 3 ай бұрын
I hope you can answer my question seriously. Should the bottom of the testicle have any kind of discernible bump or ridge? Should I be concerned if I can feel the tail of epididymus? It’s painless, to a point. Is this the kind of thing I should be concerned about? Or is this normal nut stuff?

US law prevents an effective boycott of bad health insurance. Employers have to pay payroll tax on wages. This makes them want to pay people less. To compete for decent workers with low wages, companies give out health insurance as a perk. Since the boss isn't the one USING the insurance, they don't care if the insurance is any good, it just has to LOOK good on paper. TLDR health insurance sucks because no one pays for it, employers do as a tax writeoff. Changing (reducing or eliminating) payroll tax is necessary to fix health insurance.

Testosterone itself is not very androgenic(masculine) Perhaps he has very low 5-alpha-reductase activity and therefore downstream has low DHT and minimal androgenic effects. Edit: Watched the video and it's just his SHBG, which would also reduce DHT, and greatly reduce androgenic effects. To go into greater detail, the body is expecting a certain amount of anabolic and androgenic receptor activity, and if it doesn't get it, it will signal to make more sex hormones. Since he has high SHBG, the SHBG hold the testosterone hostage, preventing it from doing any activity in the body. What this means is he has very little free(working) testosterone, and his body is fighting to make more.

That happens everywhere. Those machines cost a lot of money to build and run. Doctors worry about the medical problem, insurance, including state-funded insurance, worries about the cost. If they spent on every slim chance of diagnosis or treatment, they would quickly run out of resources. From the UK: "At least 56,289 patients with angina were denied access to CT scans last year despite NHS guidelines saying it should be offered to all patients with stable chest pains, according to data from the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR)." From Germany: "Der erkrankte Rentner ließ die Untersuchung 2017 durchführen. Die gesetzliche Krankenversicherung, bei der er versichert war, weigerte sich, die Kosten zu übernehmen. Begründung: Bei dem Krankheitsbild des Mannes sei die PET-CT als „neue Untersuchungs- und Behandlungsmethode“ zu klassifizieren und damit nicht erstattungsfähig. Bei der Untersuchung handele es sich um eine Leistung außerhalb des Leistungskatalogs der gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung."

The insurance will pay less than half the quoted amount, which is why the hospitals inflate the amount due if you have insurance. However, you can negotiate the price you've been billed, just the way your insurance would have. So tell them you'll pay half of it, max. They should accept that, they're not losing out, there's still a profit margin even with you doing some horse trading. They're just used to being beaten down on the price. I bet in 5 years or less. doctors are going to start popping up everywhere stating we accept no insurance and people will pay less and doctors will earn more and instead of talking to a nurse at first you will consult the doctor with his lawyer present. and you will sign an agreement of your recommendation for treatment. and possible outcomes. the lawyer will discuss what you will be compensated with if something goes wrong at the doctors fault. why the fuck can lawyers afford to buy 6 billboards that are all visible from the same location? because they rob everything they can. fuck lawyers. and politicians. they are all crooks.

So for example person with 300 total test and 24 free test will have much better muscle building predisposition than a person with 1500 total test and 13 free test.

You know humans do not have to be insane Islamists just because they were born in tribal region families? Sadly they are the exception, which is why Israel (20% Arabic and happy being Israeli), are being bombarded by Hamas and Hezbollah who want a "final solution" The insanity in all our western countries now we have flooded them with these people, knows no bounds.

I've lived in Canada my whole life, and I've been on a wait list for a family doctor for >5+ years now. The walk in clinic tells me to go to the ER, the ER tells me to f*** off and take more opiates. I've had to fly overseas for emergency treatment twice so far. Also my taxes are ~40% :)

I've watched your content for years since I was in middle school. Seeing you build and create all these insane things, from uranium crayons to lasers that are invisible to the human eye strong enough to immediately blind you, is the most inspiring thing I've ever seen. You embody the indomitable spirit of humanity because you take these almost unreachable ideas and goals, that anyone else would stop at the warnings, and you materialize those ideas as a reality. I'm almost 20 and I still find myself watching your videos with the same feeling that I had when I watched your first video: in awe of someone able to pursue an idea or hobby despite that risk. Thank you for creating so much joy and inspiration to the people that watch you.

What!!! 1400$ for CT scan !! MRI here in Egypt costs less than $100 and is much more accurate than CT in identifying tumors. CT costs less than $30. You can have a comprehensive examination here in Egypt in the largest hospitals under the supervision of medical professors for less than $3000 and you will not wait more than two days to make an appointment with any doctor. You can enjoy the rest of the amount visiting Egypt's tourist attractions.

@@dxfvgyhjh Yes, this is true, but many doctors do not resort to it because it is relatively expensive and requires the patient to remain still for long periods without moving the targeted area, unlike CT, which is faster in taking images.

Medical scientist here. I can't understand why they didn't dilute your sample and test it again instead of just reporting it as off the charts. I thought that was standard procedure. I hope they can nail down what's causing your hormone overproduction, and treat it too.

They might be trying to understand the exact number where if you dilute it with a specific amount of volume you can then determine the actual amount of something that might be "Off the charts"

I'm a student med lab tech, and my understanding is limited, but a baseline reading higher than the instrument's highest calibrator value could be regarded as clinically significant in its own right without necessitating a dilution. Once the cause of the hormone overproduction has been determined and he starts treatment, they'd be more likely to dilute the sample and obtain quantitative values to look for a drop in the testosterone levels in order to assess the efficacy of the treatment.

Yeah, look into the taxes in countries with "free" healthcare. You either get screwed by the free market or they strip your paycheck down significantly more than they do in the US. What's criminal is that they can sell you things that are like $20 at any retail location for $500+. Legally preventing them from scamming the shit out of you would go a long way to unscrew the US healthcare system.

Hi, kindly, stop procrastinating by keeping yourself busy - just go to a civilized country in EU, pay insurance and get diagnosed in a multidisciplinary hospital (it will take ~10 days). Don't sacrifice your health because of some jerks. Most people on the liver transplant list die waiting for one. Please go get diagnosed and treated. The disease is there, it's just super rare and doctor's didn't find it. Lastly, please don't manually lower your testosterone levels without getting a diagnosis and treatment - I suspect that testosterone is the only thing keeping your disease in check.
