Warning advised reading this (also loved this animation!) So, I decided to look into this a bit more and I think I kinda get the story. Most of this takes place in Killer's head as he is battling both lovesick self as well as his dark thoughts, and closer to the end they kinda mix together, the black with white outlining representing the dark thoughts whilst the kinda pop colours representing his lovesick/admiration. Also the kind of the bits with the white with black outlines for sketch kinda represent the past or reality of how Killer is and with the part of 00:50 showing he's struggling also with not wanting to hurt others as it has become part of his nature over time. But after we see it switch to the black then back to the white. Then finally at the end of it all we do see it in colour and I believe this is actually reality as we see Killers' soul with the upside down heart, and Dust/Murder actually getting along with Killer in a way as he accepts the cigar from Killer and both chill on the balcony. This can imply that Killer has started to get help with his mental unstableness as in the video it also show B.P.D or borderline personality disorder. Here's a definition of what it is: It is a mental health condition characterized by intense emotional instability, difficulties in maintaining relationships, impulsivity, and a distorted sense of self. People with BPD often experience mood swings, fear of abandonment, and challenges in controlling emotions. Symptoms can vary in intensity and may include self-harm or suicidal behaviors. Which is shown in the video. So maybe Dust and Killer talked and are starting to get along, whereas in most of the video he seems uncomfortable with Killer, and in the end he is chilled. In conclusion, Killer at the end is receiving help for his mental disorders, and him as well as Dust are moving on from the past (Dust is also not wearing the scarf in the end whereas he is in most of this animation).
