I think I found one of the 'details' that our dear, beloved ClusterFunk embedded within the video. As you see, from the very beginning of the video by 0:13, you see that the edge of the screen (which refers to the protagonist's view) is not blurred purple. However, right after the first appearance of Ao Oni('ugly purple creature' lol), the edge turns purple. I think this means that the cameraman got in the mansion as a human, but unfortunately got caught by that Oni dude and got infected, became an Oni, somehow has enjoyed the party, and left the mansion.
