Didn't want to see Rodgers end the season (maybe career) like that. So much talent on this Jets team. With Wilson, they are at best a 9-8 team. The defense will win them a few games but Wilson will also lose them a few games. Green Bay with a second round pick next year.

Just a cruel twist of fate for Jets fans. The Pack had really put themselves in a bad situation financially (Cap-wise) with Rodgers the past few years. Had the Jets not bailed them out like they did with Rodgers, the Pack would be looking at a much longer rebuilding period than besets them now. Hopefully the remaining ramifications of Rodgers current deal with the Jets won't become some huge albatross for them. However, that Dead Cap hit of over $51M in 2025 won't be something that'll simply go away I'm sure.

I feel sorry for all Jets fans. All the hope and excitement thru Hard Knocks, the energy and belief 8 brought to the club. The electric atmosphere as Rodgers took to the field with the American flag 🇺🇲 gave me goosebumps watching Live in Ireland and then devastation after 4 snaps of the ball for everyone. One of the roundabout benefits of having had Rodgers in training camp may have been that Zach Wilson got better just being around him and being partly coached by him. If the only benefit Rodgers brought is that Wilson got better, hey it may have been worth it. We'll have to see how it goes in the upcoming games and wether the Wilson improvement is real.

Hey Rich, I’m an Australian who has come to NFL only recently thanks to people like yourself, Pat McAfee, Tom Grossi and Brandon Perna. My appreciation for the fine details, the delicate nuance, and the intricate minutiae of your game is not as highly developed as yours. I do, however, understand the roller coaster you’re riding with your favourite football team. After years of my own team being less than their great heritage, who are now on the verge of a long yearned-for triumphant return, I appreciate the emotional precipice you and all Jets fans are hanging over right now. If I may, though, please allow me to offer what I hope is a somewhat intelligent insight from afar. Week 1, and your great hope for the future is down early. The guy he replaced, who was himself a great hope for the future, comes back to replace him. We’re terrified, because he wasn’t as good as we thought he would be last year, and the team struggled early in this game, but somehow, they hung on. And by all things almost totally unfathomable, you know what? The Jets got the job done, against an opponent who, by all rights, should have walked all over you after losing Aaron. The Defense got the job Done. The Offense got the job Done. Most importantly of all, Zach Got The Job DONE. Zach looks like a much better player than he did last year, thanks to the Coaching staff, his teammates, and a future Hall of Fame mentor. He will get Better. So will the rest of the Team. 1-0. Same result as the Cowboys, the 49ers, the Lions, and every other team that won this week. The Bills have the same record as the Bengals, the Steelers, the Seahawks, the Patriots and the Chiefs, thanks to Your Football Team. Let’s see what happens next. Chin up, sir. Things aren’t as bad as they might seem. Aaron is a Leader of Men, whether he is fully fit or otherwise. Zach is already better for being his student. Rich, I’m a longtime fan of yours and thought of you immediately. Even as a Pats fan that was tough to see. No one wants to see one of the greats go down so quick.
