I think #1 is a culture difference. Jamaicans tend to be more laid back, just like the Jamaican system with banks, tax office nobody moves with urgency! When I migrated to the US from Jamaica it took me sometime to understand why everything have to be NOW, NOW, NOW. Everything is URGENT!

It’s really a challenge at times living together as we operate on different levels. As frustrating as it can be keep loving each other and remember some things aren’t worth fighting over.❤

I'm AA and my husband is Bahamian and we live in the Caribbean. I can say I had to learn "not to sweat the small things" in order to keep my sanity because I use to want order but he was not on my run. So now years later I already know what to expect clothes on the floor, don't put nothing back, looking for my mop, etc... I definitely know the struggle 😂😂 but I ❤❤ you guys keep us laughing.

Jamaicans communicate to each other differently that as you say you don’t understand and so you think it’s rough around the edges but it surely is not…in the same context Americans talk to each other sometimes even in the workplace using the F word like 35:53 it’s just a normal part of speech and Jamaicans would never utter this word out loud in the office without being pulled aside by their superior. So it’s all about the different cultures and the interpretation between the cultures.

No two people are the exact same so differences are expected. I agree with wifey…lets put aside language that does not serve us. I think this video is now my favorite. It was the bottle game. I laughed out loud so many times and Kemars facial expressions were the best. Kemar (Problem). Not putting things back where he found it. In my opinion, that is definitely a gender issue. I live with 3 adult males and they ALL do it. Katania (Problem). She’s nosy and be walking thru the garage scanning for the stuff she knows is missing😂. I do the exact same but I’m scanning bedrooms for my forks🤬 which I know at least 8 are missing at any given time. I think most women feel better about “self”when their homes are clean and organized. Hello I just heard your story on KZbin about your friend and how she acted about you getting married. First I want to congratulate you on your marriage and to tell you that marriage is work but keep The Almighty God first, build on your faith together and you both should be just fine!!! Second I want to say is try my situation on for size. I’ve always been a follower of The Almighty but in 2020 I went through some things with Covid 19 and all. To make a long story short I began to renew my faith and change a few things because I was becoming closer to The Almighty. My friend moved to California during this time and I live in Florida, so right there we have a 3 hour time difference so we did have a challenge in talking to one another like we were in the past. There was a lot of complaining about this and to be honest she moved with her daughter and her family and my friend was in charge of taking care of her small grand children, so of course this was also a factor. Now I will just cut to the chase as to what actually broke up our friendship. My friend asked me to make a choice between her and The Almighty God and I have to say in that respect there is no mulling over as to what I or who I would choose!!! I chose The Almighty God and told my friend I wished her well and that I wished her nothing but happiness in her life. Listening to your story I do believe you friend was jealous of your situation. I feel all relationships have issues because we are all human and none of us are perfect!!! Marriage takes work on both parts. Mind you there are other variables that I didnot disclose because of time and also there are spiritual things that I also didnot disclose. Just remember that The Almighty God is good and to keep him in the forefront of your relationship and never go to bed angry at each other!!! Wishing you love and happiness in your marriage 💕💕💕
