Finally, a striker player not on jamming waves and actually playing droplet! I love seeing the small differences in striker players’ builds. Your build looks really solid too! Great video!

Cool list, even though Sky Striker lists are somewhat similar all the time! I recently tried updating my Sky Striker list aswell, and was hoping I could steal some of your tech ideas haha I like the inclusion of Droplet and the Accesscode package, but I think I'll wait for a reprint before I try to pick these up and stick with triple Roze and the Utopia package for now :'D

They're still fun to play! I actually started a progression series with a friend just for fun the other day, and coming back to Strikers felt very similar in that you don't just combo into an OTK lol Utopia Double is still a fun card! I honestly wish I could find some more ways to use it. Roze definitely makes it accessible here :)

@@JDGamingYGO yup, I still really like the deck, for some reason I enjoy building decks when a lot of their power cards are stuck on the banlist :D but yea, it definitely adds a whole new dynamic when you're able to make it, but on the other hand I'm also very proficient in hard drawing the double or nothing^^

Good list, great analysis on justifying every card in the deck. I don't play droplets (expensive), twin twister, mine (sided) or imperm in the main deck. I've been using Gamma/driver, ghost belle and called-by (constantly switching in and out with avarice) instead. As for the extra I play 1 copy of Omega instead of a charmer to potentially further punish with gamma but also with dogmatika maximus, my extra deck is isn't affected. But these differences highlight the power of the deck, being hyper moldable to your playing situation or needs. Also having a side deck that enables a solid going first playability can grant huge advantage in the subsequent games (ie your opponent sides for going first and you choose to go first) and I appreciate addressing the side.

Great vid !! Honestly man I've got at least 3 variants of the deck at all times. A going second that just makes going third the first turn. Going first. And an overall competitive version. Always looking to take some advice and find some no techs for this deck.

I like skystrikers a unique deck and strong but i wouldn't say over powered except for engage but other than that it's not like this deck gives you free wins u have to put in the work and be smart about your moves. Roze artwork is amazing, i wish i had a copy but i plan on building box of friend's and im just gonna spend for that deck but i forgot about it. I might have to play mystic mine in reptilianne which is unfortunate but ill be testing different builds so we'll see Very nice build, while i dont play skystriker its refreshing to see them and when i duel against them it was more fair than the other decks in the meta at that time but i still lost most of the time but i could still win with my "bad" decks so i dont hate skystriker always thought they were fair.
@JDGamingYGO4 жыл бұрын
It definitely takes some thought to play them. Roze will probably get a reprint in the Mega Tins this year :) I think it’s easy to forget that just because archetypes come out unlimited doesn’t mean they were designed to be that way forever or that it’s ever really balanced. I personally think the banlist should be utilized even more frequently and strictly as needed to properly balance things from a game perspective, though that of course doesn’t necessarily line up with sales and marketing. Sky strikers are inherently a slower kind of deck that wouldn’t necessarily even be crazy strong with say 1 engage, but having 3 makes it way too consistent for other decks to face its complete toolbox.

What do you think of triple tactics?
@JDGamingYGO3 жыл бұрын
So I personally tried it on and off here and there in various decks. I wanna like it, but I personally just don't like how it's reliant on the opponent, even if that reliance is getting hand trapped which *shoud* be common enough. But often times, it's not exactly worth siding over other more targeted cards, either. I'll keep trying it occasionally, but I'm not personally a huge fan of it. You can win without it just fine haha

Best bet would probably be Borrelsword Dragon. It won't be doing all the free removal that AT can, and it does take 3 monsters at least, but it's going to help push for game. Since Strikers are pretty well-covered in the removal department and can often Widow Anchor/Shark Cannon materials anyway to make Borrelsword, it shouldn't be a huge problem making it :)

I've seen people play copies of book of moon in this deck. What do you think about that? It's a spell that can potentially turn off a monster on your opponents field (or bait out a negate) and if forced to go first it can be a solid form of disruption.
@JDGamingYGO4 жыл бұрын
I've always loved Book of Moon! I can see it working as an alternative to some of the hand traps or either Cosmic Cyclone/Twin Twister. Book's utility is entirely based on a player's specific metagame they encounter at a given event or environment, and I don't think it's bad - just not the universal answer to everything it once was.

I've been looking to get into sky strikers for a while now, and when I saw the list I thought that this can be a good starting point. However, do you have any suggestions for a preferably budget alternative to Forbidden Droplet? Right now I'm thinking of Dark Ruler No More, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on a potential sub for this.
@_cattdk_4 жыл бұрын
forbidden chalice is a nice alternative
@JDGamingYGO4 жыл бұрын
There isn't a card right now that does everything Droplet can, but the 3 main things it does are: 1) Blank a big board to help break it 2) Send Spells to the GY 3) (overlaps with 1) Simple Monster Negation Of these, I mainly play it for that 1st reason with the other two being bonuses at times, which would make DRNM or even Nibiru the closest things (though Nibiru could be problematic if you summon it to your Main Monster Zone). As CatTDK commented, Chalice is nice if you're more concerned with general negation - fits alongside Widow Anchor and hand traps like Veiler/Impermanence well, but it's more like WA & Imperm in that it helps you blank one more monster going second. Depending on the kinds of boards you're most often faced with in game 1, I'd consider either DRNM or Chalice in these spots. DRNM could be better sided if you don't face huge boards all the time. If maining DRNM, I wouldn't necessarily side Chalice since there are more impactful cards you could have for specific match ups. Just my thoughts, hope that helps a bit! :)

hey I love this deck so much but there is only one problem. its quite expensive so do u know any substitutes for Infinite Impermanence? And do u think i could replace it with typhoon or ghost ogre
@JDGamingYGO4 жыл бұрын
Since Impermanence is mainly used to stop Monster Effects when you are going second, it would be most similar to play some other hand traps that can interfere with the opponent. Ghost Ogre fits the bill as long as that's going to be effective against the decks you're playing at the time. The next closest thing would be a card that can take out a monster as you start your turn, like a Forbidden Chalice or Book of Moon (but you can obviously see how those don't exactly help on your opponent's first turn).

@@JDGamingYGO Ty! Is there a substitute for accesscode talker too? I don't have a lo t of money to spend on yugioh
@JDGamingYGO4 жыл бұрын
@@postx817 Borrelsword Dragon is probably best. The cons would be that it doesn't provide the easy widespread removal as AT, and it does take at least 3 Effect Monsters instead of just 2. However, the benefits are it still provides a ton of muscle to win the game, and you're likely able to gather materials to summon it easily with Anchor/Cannon :)
