A lot of people say this about the big comedians who've already had their break, but when I say 'Marc Maron is one of, if not the most criminally underrated comedian' I mean it. This guy deserves so much more respect and attention than he gets.

They just replace the idol of their addiction but at the heart of the matter is the addiction to being addicted to something, to anything as there is some deeply ingrained mental conditioning associated with the need of creating addiction itself.

Marc sometimes reminds me of Bill Hicks. Both so ahead of their times. I believe Marc, like so many other comedians, was strongly influenced by George Carlin, an amazing comedian I frequently listen to.

Nothing about his career has been luck. He has a style that lots of people love. And the podcast is successful because he asks great questions, and gives his guests time to answer. He's also empathetic. But I'm sure if you ask him to do farther jokes, he will.
