I’ve been babying the transmission but that’s the weak link. I’m looking for something I can carry more tools in like a small cargo van but need it to give me good mileage. They should make a small cargo van with a Prius engine. I would definitely buy that.

It’s always great when you get one of those really good vehicles that serves you well for its long life. While I’ve never owned a truck, I have owned the same Subaru Impreza since 2009 (15 years and counting) and it has been extremely reliable. And that’s with taking it through 15 Buffalo, NY winters with tons of snow, salt and grime on the roads! Everything still works on it but it is starting to rust around the wheel wells. The AC doesn’t blow as cold as it used to, either, but besides those 2 things, the car is solid and everything works. Whenever anyone asks me why I don’t get something new, I just say “I haven’t had a car payment in 10 years.”

Great truck. it was my fault. i just replaced the vacuum pump not that long ago and maybe i should have used loctite. its getting lockwashers and locktite now. mine runs 90-105 all day and all night. no complaints.

Been watching your channel for years 10+ years now! wild! love the videos tho, but honestly these 2gen dodges are fantastic trucks and with minimal work can make them comparable and more reliable than a brand new truck. the aftermarket support for these trucks is great, you can get 350hp with minimal mods. An aftermarket radio and backup camera and boom you've got a modern truck without the price and DEF.

Great truck. The 90’s were a great crossroads of improved technology and tried and true technology. I have an 83 F250 with an International 6.9 diesel with 170hp. Plenty fast for hauling stuff. It feels good to drive it slow and within its limits (the suspension is pretty bad 😂) I only run it a dozen times a year when it’s capacity is absolutely needed but it runs like a clock. I’m an even bigger fan of my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. What it lacks in sex appeal it makes up for in economy and practicality and then some. Comfortable and pleasant to drive too! 😜

It always amazes me how US cars make such little power for their displaxement. 30 to 50 MPG is expected from cars here in ireland and 2.5L diesels would make 180hp. Average engine size is 1.5 or 1.6L with many cars with 1L engines doing 60mpg

I disagree that the U2 crisis should be included here, although it is actually an absolutely hilarious story. breaching Soviet airspace and in the manner the US did could have been seen as an act of war by Moscow and, the Soviets having known about these recon missions pretty much from the start knew that, while still rather risky, if they did shoot a U2 down and expose to the world what the US was doing, they could pin a shitton of embarrassment on the US and get them to stop flying over their entire country in one fell swoop. in other words both sides were far too aware of what they were doing for that one to have come to blows.

@randkamza12062 ай бұрын
Sorry buddy, you don't know the market. I own a dealership and been in the game for over half a decade. I promise you that truck would sell for $7500 at a dealer wholesale auction and it would sell to the public at at least $10,000, probably higher. Cars sell for above of below KBB value all the time. It's a baseline, not a true indicator of value though.the older a car is on kbb , the less accurate it is.
@hojo702 ай бұрын
Oh I never said that you couldn't ask those prices, I simply stated what the truck was WORTH. Sure, someone might come along and pay that for a 30 yr old truck, but in this economy I'm going to say probably not.
