Honestly Elizabeth, C.C, and William may have their differences and harass each other for it but when someone else picks on the kids it makes William angry because deep down he cares about his kids even if he doesn't show it, it's kind of like a close big brother and little brother, the big brother picks on the little brother but when a kid the big brother's age picks on the younger brother the big brother jumps in and protects the little brother because despite him picking on his little brother, there's still a place in his heart for the little brother.... (I don't know if it's true since I'm a twin but I'm just making a scenario on what William and his kids relationship is like)
