From age 6 to 42 I lived without being able to understand how and why I had been running from myself my whole life. @G A glad I'm not the only one concerned. It's hard because while this huge movement of people changing their gender is supposedly intended to be encouraging open mindedness and self expression... The people who do this get downright viciously defensive should anybody dare to question their decision. How much more closed minded can a person be? To not consider all sides and views? I can't help but question it because how is it explained that some will be so so so sure of themselves and this choice, claim they were born female in a male body, have the surgeries, the hormones etc and then a year or two later be devastated and realize that they want to transition back?? That it didn't solve all their problems. This is my freedom of speech and expression, so I'm not putting this here to create a stupid argument with anybody. It is truly just very alarming to see people doing this more and more regularly, wanting even to be called 'they' instead of he or she. Not thinking for themselves, not truly, is what I see. Just trying to fit in and many probably doing it just because their friends are. This is very sad to me. I think too many have this idea that if they just weren't this, or weren't that, if they had this, look like that etc. That then their lives will be different/better/then they'll feel whole. I think this stems from trauma/ abuse/ neglect. My personal opinion is that switching your gender is not the answer. Learning how to cope, love, and heal your inner child IS. Some of the most beautiful people outside, have the deepest pain inside. Male, or female. Naturally, or trans.
