My mom was a supervisor at a daycare for several years when I was little. The daycare made something called Spud Nugget Casserole that all of us kids loved. My mom used to make it sometimes for dinner for us as well. Definitely a 90s throwback. Sounds weird but it’s actually good. I made it a couple years ago and it took me back 😉. You just take boxed au gratin potatoes, however many you need for your family size, mix it together according to the package instructions. Then you slice up hot dogs (again how many your family will eat) and mix it in with the potatoes. Bake it according to the package instructions.

I am not decorating for fall. I hang on to summer for as long as I can because after fall comes winter and I do not like winter in Michigan. It is long, cold and dreary. Plus, I can’t walk out to my garden and pick delicious vegetables for our supper, take walks with the family and leave the house just in my sandals and no coat! So stay, summer, stay!

I’m 68 years old, and we started school on Tuesday after Labor Day. We didn’t get out of school until first part of June. We didn’t have fall break or spring break. (Does that sound pitiful?). My mom made goulash and I didn’t get the recipe before she died and I’ve never been able to recreate it.

I was thinking about the same thing as the person before me about how Manly would have been a fun child on "Kids Say The Darndest Things" with Art Linkletter. I have never done anything with green tomatoes, but that casserole got me hungry enough to start thinking of trying . You share so many recipes with us, when will you let us return the favor? Remember, I am not a big social media person and have no desire to start. Between emailing and watching some You Tube videos I spend enough time already on the computer that I do not want anymore time. I am 67 years old and have many family favorite recipes just waiting to be shared.

Manny's transformer was pretty cool lol. We use to make a hamburger dish something like that but we added homemade leftover chili to it. U can use the can stuff but homemade is better. Especially hits the spot during winter. Oh, we also crunched up Doritos ontop of it. Any kind will work even generic. Tyfs God bless you

I used egg noodles and cream of celery soup and cheddar cheese soup and also mixed in peas and onions and then added lots of shredded cheese. My husband enjoyed it so that a good recipe 😊❤. That dinner is sort of like Hamburger helper? Do you remember Tuna Helper? Oh my goodness, I used to looooove Tuna Helper back in the 80's and 90's and then they changed something about it and it never tasted the same. Why do they mess with perfection? Lol. Everything looked great, especially the green tomato casserole (you know me, I love some green tomatoes!) I need to make some of 'our' biscuits :) (since we made the same kind without knowing it). We started school after labor day when I was a kid so now that we start the first week of August it just throws me into the fall thing. Plus, it has been so hot this summer I think the fall things help me think of cooler weather is a coming and I just love fall and all of the decorations that come with it.
