Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hydrolyzed Corn Starch doesn’t have any concerns on the ewg page. Tocopheryl Acetate is Vitamin E. Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate is vitamin C. Potassium Sorbate is a white salt that is very soluble in water so when you spray water on it, it dissolves very easily. Phenoxyethanol is the only thing concerning because it’s a type of germicide. This could be harmful for you use a whole lot on the skin and very often like if you used 3 jars of only this chemical on her face. In her hair in the amount you use it’s very safe and more than very unlikely to cause any problems. Everything else if organic. Castro oil keratin quinoa mango jojoba oil Shea butter blueberry argan primrose oil. I’m a nurse so i hope this was helpful.

The phenoxyethanol is probably a preservative. Every product from a manufacturer should have one. It is to prevent mold baterica and fungal growth which are way more harmful than the 1% phenoxyethanol used to prevent these growths. EGW is a notorius website for fear mongering alot of products but if you take the time to research them yourself you will find things arent as bad as they make them seem. Its like that meme that was going around with the bleach and juice saying dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) should not be in both but since the scientific name was used people freaked out even tho its just water☺☺☺

Tiffany Jolly it is common and it is a preservative. It’s not harmful unless you’re using it by itself and in large quantities which no one would ever do. Personally I’m a med student and I use it on my daughters hair and consider it more than safe.

WOW thank you Hang and Tiffany for this info💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 It makes sense Tiffany when you said every product should have a preservative in it to prevent the mold and bacteria. I think when you don't know anything about ingredients (me)and are trying to stay away from the harmful stuff (me) you are quick to judge what website say rather than doing more research (me) lol. Thank you again you girls are so awesome!

Personally I don't think we should be putting edge control or gel in our little girls hair day to day, for weddings or special occasions fine but my daughter is 2 and I won't be using edge control or gel for her until she's at least 7 or 8. The chemicals wreak havoc on our bodies and hormones. My mum cornrowed my hair for school until I was 11 and I will 100% doing the same. Why are we putting so much pressure on our already beautiful children to be sleek and laid every day...

I'm really sorry my Friend💔 I will mention like i mentioned in another comment that I will use it once in a blue moon (special occasions) just because it is from continual use that it can be harmful (from what i understand) unless I find that one miracle edge control with perfect ingredients xo.

Btw I think I may be the one who made that comment but definitely didn’t mean to get under your skin with it. I am just a stickler for natural ingredients because I found out that Johnson’s baby products are a carcinogen which shocked and upset me... The reason being is I felt kinda betrayed by the company that advertises itself to be a family , child-baby, company. A staple in children’s products...Since then I just obsess about ingredients. No product should be giving kids cancer.

Oh no I hope I didn't give off the impression that someone got under my skin in this video. I love getting comments of others opinions because I understand that there could be a better product, way, etc. And I usually do take the advice in my comments if it's something that i feel works for us. I also try my best to find products with organic ingredients. Anyways if that was you thank you for the comment because it did make me look into it more 💖🤗☺️

I stopped using the blueberry bliss edge control on Maya’s hair after checking a similar website. We use flaxseed gel sometimes (don’t ‘lay’ her edge daily) but wrapping it in silk scarf for 20min seems to make the biggest difference for us! I’d still be open to edge control 1-3x a year for special occasions but not for frequent use.

We love the Blueberry Bliss Control Paste, but we hardly ever use it. Just because my girl likes her edges to be "free" (she likes the way it looks) and because it does give build up on her hair. She has high porosity hair and build up is something that all our other products do not cause. So if we use it, it will only be on wash day, and not on second/third/... day hair. I do have to mention that the Blueberry Bliss is the only edge control we have ever used, so maybe other brands edge control will also give build up on her hair.

Awww I think it's so cute that she like her edges to be free💖🤗☺️ yeah blueberry bliss doesn't cause build up on Sekora and Sefari's hair and that's one reason I like it so much. Can you believe I still haven't figured out their hair porosity?!

I need to find a good edge control gel but I stopped using Shea Moisture products in my daughters hair about a year ago, not because it didn't work good, but because she started breaking out from it. I want to try the brand again just to make sure it wasn't something she grew out of but I don't want to make her break out again.

Thanks for the video friend! I still use the control paste on my 2 year old daughter's hair because I can't find anything that works. If I don't put anything on her side edges her hair will fly everywhere. I'm strongly thinking about not using it anymore though. But then again hair products are just like food in the store there are so many harsh chemicals in food, hair products, products for body, etc. there seems to be no way of escaping anything these days no matter how hard people may try to prevent them. The only way we can prevent harsh chemicals from our daughters' hair is to not use anything after detangling it. There are still harsh chemicals in the shampoo and conditioner that we wash our childrens' hair with. Everything that is written on a food label or in the ingredients isn't the only thing that's in that product, a lot of these things are just a money-getter. We just have to stay prayed up for the everything in this world. Its hard to prevent getting anything harsh in this world.

SO SO SO TRUE My Friend😊💖🤗 My husband keeps telling me relax...do your best but don't go crazy trying to stay away from the harsh chemicals etc. Because I would read the labels on something and think its a great product and later find an ingredient the internet says I shouldn't be using and be so upset lol. So I am learning to relax a little bit 💖💖💖

To be honest I hate the fact you use any type of gel, I use no gel on my baby girl and I that gives me a guilt free mind, this is the reason why little girls grow up with no edges just stop let the hair be natural
@SekoraandSefari
@SekoraandSefari 5 жыл бұрын
Hey Friend💖🤗☺️, I respect your opinion. I personally think that some styles do not need any edge control but there are some styles that I love the sleek look and if I can find an edge control that I can use that has ingredients that I don't have to worry about that would be awesome. I agree some of the products that are being put in little girls hair are the reason for them growing up with no edges but a big reason some little girls edges are being damaged is because they constantly get tight hairstyles and their edges are not being taking care of. Fortunately, I have learnt there are ways to do the tight hairstyles and keep their edges healthy xo.

Just as someone watching the videos...I know you've said that your oldest daughter has sensitive edges...her hairline seems to be regressing. I would stop using products on her edges all together, if I had a say.
@SekoraandSefari
@SekoraandSefari 5 жыл бұрын
Hey Friend💖🤗☺️ I don't agree with you that her hairline is regressing but I do know there was a month or two (not to long ago) that I wasn't doing a great job at keeping up with the health of her edges so in my opinion it has nothing to do with the products I use on her edges.
