Wow, Timothy! You finally got to tour Hendersonville, NC! Hendersonville is one of my favorite towns to visit when I am in that part of Western NC! It is a true gem that is beautiful, vibrant, welcoming, and enjoyable, and its people are kind. To me, it is much nicer and safer than the now overrated, large, overcrowded Asheville. Hendersonville's local government has made it a very important endeavor to maintain its small town feel and the vibrancy, popularity, safety and cleanliness of its town center. Being nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a true treat, and there are many beautiful communities, parks, and waterfalls in this gorgeous jurisdiction everywhere. A lot of retirees have chosen Hendersonville as home because of its uniqueness and close proximity to and plethora of so many wonderful things to do. Several other beautiful, quaint small towns are in close proximity to Hendersonville and are wonderful to visit and also reside in! I really enjoyed this video, Timothy! Thank you for making it! I'm sure you too enjoyed Hendersonville!

It is a special town for sure. And I’m glad they are trying to hold on to their small town feel. Although it will become more difficult as more people move into the area. Hopefully the population will level out before it starts busting at the seams like some others I’ve seen. We have so many wonderful small towns here in North Carolina that we can spread out a bit making them all a wonderful place to live or visit. Thanks for watching and for sharing your knowledge of the area.

Unfortunately, a lot of people who cause problems where they currently live always want to quickly move away from those places when things get completely out of hand there to new places. Once in the new place, they slowly begin to question why the small town doesn't have this and that, and that when they once again start to help create problems for the new place they call home that will lead to it too being destroyed. Greed and overdevelopment play a major role in destroying small towns and nice communities, too! The more people who flock to a small town, the more it becomes larger with traffic congestion and overdevelopment; the type of place realtors will brand as having a "small town feel"; a now less appealing place for town natives, long-term locals and other folks who previously relocated their to get away from what they now find themselves being faced with.

There were and still are a lot of issues in Hendersonville from the storm. Most have been taken care of - like no power, some had no water, and no internet. Bad flooding in several areas. A large number of trees down, some of which caused damage to roofs. Slowly but surely things are being repaired and cleaned.

The businesses pain and design their bears every year for a contest and the bears are auctioned off every year for a fundraiser. There are new Bears every year. McFarlan's Bakery, Sherman's Sports, Tempo Music, Flanagan's Irish Pub are some of the long time stores in the city.

I did a search on police statistics for Hendersonville and it doesn't seem to be very safe. 5 out of a 100. Where I live is a 48 out of a 100. Thanks to Obiden there is all this crime due to unemployment and businesses closing.
