I have. And I want to film some of them but haven’t figured out a good way to do it that I’m comfortable with. Especially when they are crowded inside. 2000 on my way to 10000 I hope 😀

The lady on the banjo mural is Ola Belle Reed. She is from Lansing. Interestingly enough, my family is from Lansing as well and eventually settled in the Oxford/Nottingham area of PA. Ola Belle also moved nearby. When I was a little girl, she had a studio in the back of a little grocery store called Campbell’s Corner (her maiden name). I worked at Sunset Park as a little girl, where she played with her band. She played with my childhood best friend’s grandmother, who was later owner of Sunset Park.

Cleanest public bathrooms ever in view at 13:29 in your vid. Have a small second home a few miles down the road so I can verify Pie On The Mountain is legit and down on the river is a great for a lazy walk and to make a few casts. Lovely place that can be peaceful and quiet...I pray it will not get overrun.

Looks like a nice town. Not sure if it's declining or gaining strength.

I think its gaining. People are looking for a more relaxed mountain experience. Places like Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Asheville are fun but have become way to touristy for many travelers.

The Clark-Miller Roller Mill is still there I believe.

Lived here through the 90s Its a good place to be from but not enough jobs to go around so a lot of young men and women have to move in search of employment
