A great video, Timothy. Very proud of my home town. They have such a variety of places to eat! Lots of hard-working folks who are proud of the town. Family Dollar, 2 Dollar General Stores, Dollar Tree, and a UPS store, too.

Very nice video, Timothy! Kershaw's Settlement Kershaw laid out the first town plan on land around Big and Little Pine Tree Creeks, where Historic Camden is located today. The earliest plan dates to 1774. Kershaw's settlement became known as Camden in 1768, in honor of Charles Pratt, Lord Camden, an advocate of the American colonists' rights.

Grew up in the area. Gus' house of pizza is great. The place used to be a textile town. There was a large springs plant between the 521 grill and adm. In the 1980s and early 90s it was a nice little town with shops. Lots of good people and families. The plant moved to Mexico and it really damaged the economy. Walmart priced out the dime stores and general stores. I hope it gets restored and continues to improve. It's heading in a better direction. It's too small for me but it will always have a place in my heart. Thanks for the vid. It was nice to see how it looks now.

I may do that in the future. But I need to stay on the town centers for now so that I can finish my challenge in a reasonable amount of time. Thank for the suggestion. And thanks for watching.

If you would have walked just a little more past the restaurant just on the other side of the First Citizen Bank you would have seen the oldest standing and still operating restaurant in the town. About 62 Years!! Chris Cromers Cafeteria. Southern cooking at its finest.

@@TimothyFrench Cromer's? Thank You! I will have to try that out. Back in the early 1980's, it was located in the same building as Gus' Pizza is now.
