I was and AM a big fan of Surveil. I LOVED Guillds of Ravnica! Surveil is not only underrated but it's also SO on flavor with the Dimir! Great video, glad to have found it. I wish Surveil gets more cards, they DID robbed Surveil of a great card with Consider from Midnight Hunt, not putting the word Surveil in it! What are your thoughts on Eloise? I've built a budget Ghost of Ramirez dePietro deck that is all about putting only one or two cards into the graveyard each turn, either from hand or library. Surveil is a GREAT mechanic for that. You can essentially turn your surveils into selective card draw (at the cost of doing it on your turn/precombat). For that reason, I love Nightveil Sprite as an easy way for repeatable surveil triggers (especially if you draw it early in a game.... definitely falls off late)

Nightvale Sprite was one of my favorite cards from that limited environment. I'm so happy you found a home for it in EDH!
