I think they missed the deeper conversation. Its not even about being a Godparent. If you’re my friend and I love you I will be there to celebrate joyous occasions with you. That includes wedding, childbirth, graduation, business launch. The deeper point is Cookie doesn’t care about anyone but herself. You dont have to even be a Godparent to celebrate joyous occasions with a friend or support them. It sounds like she is self absorbed and didn’t even attempt to be supportive. That’s kinda crazy. I’m godmother for my bbf’s daughter and she’s godmother for my son (they are exactly 3 months apart to the date). They live 3-4 hours away from me and we talk often, see each other at least every 3-6 months. Try to catch softball and football games, birthday sleepovers to pay her and her friends nails and play dress up. Idk I love my friend and goddaughter🤷🏽‍♀️

My best friend had a baby December 1st 2023, to my beautiful Goddaughter, and my graduation was Jan 26th 2024…I didn’t have time to see the baby before then,and obviously wasn’t expecting a new mum at my graduation…but in February, I took time off work and went to England to see them…these things aren’t hard…we are all busy but we definitely make time for the people we love.
