I nearly bought a Ford focus 2009 plate, had 71k miles on it just had a fresh MOT no advisories and had done a recent service with new discs, pads etc, they only wanted £1050 as no history on cambelt change. Was thinking of buying it and then spending £450 on a cambelt change at a garage. I'm not massively into cars so didn't in the end, autotrader have the same year focus at those miles for 2/2.5k but maybe i bottled it lol

Haha maybe a good call leaving it, I’ve seen they can be really difficult to sell, and remember autotrader is usually dealers so I’d recommend using Facebook and eBay for what they’re worth!

If you know the engines not overfilled with oil the first thing I would expect is turbo seals, fairly easy to get the intake pipe off to see how oily it is in there
