I made little dolls similar to this back in the 1970s to hang on my Christmas tree. I made them smaller and slimmer and then divided the yarn at the bottom to make "legs" for the boys. I also tied off their waists, and the ends of their arms and legs. I thought they were very cute!

Really darling! I can see a basket of theses on a table at a craft fair for a very reasonable price, like the price that a young person who has pocket money could buy. You’d have kids all over the place playing with this as they walked around!!
@Beatlesfan10764 күн бұрын
Exactly! 😊 Maybe the kids' parents/grandparents would have them actually use their imagination, by telling them, these are things we played with as kids. I think it's a wonderful idea also. I'd actually consider making these for a craft show also either just that, or as something on the side so the kids could pick something cheap too.

If y'all couldn't tell where she was going with this project when she began wrapping that yarn.....well then who's fault is it exactly that you continued watching? And to all you folks who keep saying "thanks for the life saving warning," I'm sure you all would quite "literally" drop dead if you had watched this nice lady's video all the way through! And oh my! It would have been horrifying for you to leave her a positive comment right? How old are you people exactly? I thought in this community we support one another? We are here to build one another up, not tear each other down! I've been away for over a year bc I've been in mourning. Grief is an overpowering emotion that washes over your entire being like a tidal wave and drags you down into the cold, black depths. It consumes you from the inside and digs its claws deep within your soul and it truly feels like you'll never break free, never see the light again. But I'm here. Maybe I'm not ready to come back? Especially when hatred and rudeness and negativity is the first thing I come across in my once beloved community my first day back on here. Maybe I'll never be ready again bc nothing feels right anyway. The only two good thing's I see here in this comment section are the good, kind folk's actually leaving positive comments and two....some of them are standing up to you ugly, rude people! I don't recognize any of your names from my yarny family so maybe it'll still be alright to rejoin the community I've been missing so much. I enjoyed this video, simply bc my pom poms tend to fall a part and I've never even made a tassel before so this video was helpful for me personally and I see it was for many others as well. And with some imagination I see all kinds of cool item's I can make from what she just showed us. Thank you for the video, I appreciate it your time and energy that went into making this video. So "RUDE PEOPLE" if you already know how to make these why not just stop watching, give her a like and move on, why take "your" precious time to be rude and nasty? Remember that lovely lady named KARMA? Better believe she will remember you!

I lost a son in 2017 (9 days before his birthday in August so the holidays are still hard for me). I pray God gives you some comfort in dealing with your loss. Yes its so very sad when you go to the comment section and see rude, nasty comments towards creators who are trying hard to make good tutorials for people to enjoy. If one doesn't like the crafts they should just nicely move on to one they like without leaving comments. Stay safe. Take care of yourself. God bless..

I think it’s just because we’re all crafters who know even for a nickel a piece, nobody would buy these things. To claim to have made fifty and sold them all? It’s impossible to believe. Many friends make actual amazing things, worth $20 or more in fancy stores, who can’t even make a dollar each on their amazing work during the holidays. I haven’t commented on this page anywhere but here with you, because I don’t want to discourage her either…I just know, where I live, these would never sell.

Why so much negativity?! If any of you did not like the video or find it useful, instead of bringing negativity to someone else's page...be respectful & continue scrolling to a different video? We are women that should be supporting & encouraging other women, NOT bringing negativity to their page-especially when they're simply trying to help & guide others! I find it highly disrespectful! I also find it disgusting that grown women act like this. I myself have no idea how to make a pom-pom so I found the video to be extremely helpful as I'm sure a lot of others did as well!
