I love this! You said the dress was based on a design from the 60s, but it reminds me of mid-late 2000s prom dresses. Bright colors, lots of tulle and glitter, layers upon layers of petticoats. It's nostalgic tbh.

I see the reference to the Vintage Barbie. But when I first saw the dress on the cover photo, I saw Dance 'n Twirl Barbie from abt. 1997. Right down to the tulle sash across the shoulder. It's a beautiful gown!
