You got off easy. At an estate sale years ago, I told a shopper he had taken things out of my pile. He started yelling at me & he was a big guy, so I backed off. No good deed goes unturned. When I returned the next day, the sellers recognized me & sold me some pocket knives - including a 14k & a Sterling Tiffany Victorinox - for $5 each. There's always enough to go around.

Most of the yard sales here is what my grandmother used to say crap thrown on tables or the ground. People just throw everything into piles. Most of the time, it's dirty and nasty. Even like Goodwill is super expensive you can buy new cheaper. A used pair of jeans is like $15, and t shirts plain are around $10.

I always try and get something from any sale I stop at. Even if there isnt anything ill try and pick up something. Once found some ol dirty hats in the ground at a nothin good sale. One was Leatherface with jason playing jump rope ended up selling it for 40+ shipping just out of a random buy

If these people at yard sales wanted to spend the time and effort and do the research that goes into reselling-they wouldn't be selling it and certainly not negotiating. Also if you notice-a lot of those selling at yard sales were into selling on ebay sites themselves but quit and end up selling many of their collected wares at yard sales. Go figure.

Just an fyi..clown costumes may not be a good buy. Just saw on the news that several people have been arrested because they're wearing clown suits & charging @ peoples cars & banging on them & running thru neighborhoods & banging on day care windows, scaring kids. One young girl got so scared she ran out the back door & into an alley because she was so petrified. There's always idiots that ruin things. Target removed all their clown costumes in store & online. I find it funny that Target chose to take a stand on that
