Love love love! You've inspired me to crack down on my UFO pile and then hopefully make one of these for myself. One video suggestion if I may, I really like how you've edited but the transition music is quite loud in comparison to your voice when you're talking through what you're doing. I found myself turning it up to hear you but then back down during the speed ups.

Wow, it turned out so very lovely! I agree that taking the time to do pad stitching is definitely worth it in the end... saves me a lot of swearing at misbehaving fabrics. Did you happen to watch Bernadette's video on coture pad stitching? It's amazing how such a simple thing can elevate the look of the finished product!

What materials did you used?
@GwensShenanigans4 жыл бұрын
Some fabric in my stash basket, I guess the inside one was 100% cotton, the outer one has some synthetic in it I think. The middle layer is a cotton canvas like fabric, very sturdy. For boning I used cable ties.

I really love the way you made your corset belt and how you didn't use many fancy things to make it. Although I'm curious since I'm not very well verses in materials yet, what was the white fabric you used in between the outer fabric and lining? Is it some sturdy fabric or is it interfacing or something stronger? And how much lacing (strings?) did you use got the front and the back?
@GwensShenanigans3 жыл бұрын
I believe it is cotton twill of some kind...pretty sturdy material in any case! I'm not sure how much I used for the lacing🤔I'd guess a yard and a half should suffice?

Lovely music what is it called?
@GwensShenanigans3 жыл бұрын
It's by my friends of the band Keltzen zonder Grenzen. I don't remember exactly which songs I used, but if you go to the very end of the video you can see the names of the songs.
