This dude either learned really fast, or he did a lot of research on making videos before he started uploading. You can tell when someone really put in the work to learn all the nuances of youtube and it's really showing here. Great job, man!

🤣😂 Thank you for that. The BatSled definitely fits my needs but maybe not someone else’s. However, it’s now an option others can consider if they decide to make one for themselves.

Looks amazing, man. Subscribed and turned on notificiations. I like the other projects you have coming, but I'm really interested in your table saw and surround. I watched all your videos, and it looks like you have a Bosch jobsite saw? I'm probably going with a similar setup, but would love to see more about how you have your set up, with the custom fence system and all that. Just another video idea that I think will drive lots of views.
@buildingwithbobby

The tablesaw is actually an old craftsman 1.75 horse saw. The bench itself has been great to have but could be better. I will be building a new one sooner then later. The fence is a 2x2 metal tube as the rail and I welded a piece of angle iron to another 2x2 with piece of wood inside to mount the clamp to squeeze or tight. its pretty simple and has worked really well so far. It did take some fine tuning and minor adjustments to get it to work properly over the years. We will for sure think of how we can show the details on it in the future. Thanks

I don't really have any woodworking skills, but if I ever get around to acquiring some, I can only hope that I'll be able to build such a sleek and useful crosscut sled for myself! What a great video!

@@buildingwithbobby I was at a thrift store the other day and found a couple books about building furniture from 2x4s that look like they have some beginner-friendly projects, so I might give one of those a try eventually. The only suggestion I might make is to use Microjig dovetail clamps instead of T-track. The money you save would cover the T-track in the rear fence. Great job on the sled and the video.

Dude, VERY professional looking video. Transitions were super sharp, i liked the text on screen for humor, and camera angles were great. Lighting leaves a bit to be desired but after getting about half way through the video i was shocked to see how new the channel is. If this is where you're starting I'm stoked to see where you go. Keep it up!

Lots of sled designs use T-track like this and laminate on the surface of a crosscut sled is more money to make a worse sled. It will reduce friction and I can't think of a scenario when slipping is helpful on a crosscut sled. I wouldn't normally comment to criticize, but I think this cooling looking sled may result in inexperienced woodworkers building this design instead of better ones.
@buildingwithbobby
@buildingwithbobby Жыл бұрын
Well if they are inexperienced woodworkers I'm not sure this is the build for them. Stay tuned for a simple cross cut sled build!
