Once you understand how to put the elements into the readme, it's very easy to go wild and make it 100% unique. I would recommend someone use a generator at first, and then read the code it generates, and understand how it works and how you can add elements and remove elements

I'm currently getting my CS degree as a sophomore right now, and I do think it's worth considering as some companies do require you to work for a bachelor's degree in some internships such as Amazon. Totally still a viable route, it's such a safety net as salaries can vary greatly by degree level and occupation.
