I Made A Custom Snare Drum

So back in 2009-10 I built my own snare drum 🥁, definitely the most unique one-of-a-kind instrument in my studio. I bought the shell from VaughnCraft Percussion, drilled the holes, and put together the hardware (so long ago I don’t remember where I bought it from).
The special feature on this drum is the special Yamaha throw and snare strainer that I bought from the ol’ legendary drum shop, The Drum Pad in the Chicago burbs.
I actually haven’t even updated the snare wires and heads in forever. This drum, because of the rosewood shell, is sensitive with pianissimo playing and can also get super load. It’s a beast and my favorite instrument I have.
