Hi Alex, great video! 👌😎 You need to make a ventilation hole on the top. I recommend to move the cabinet 1cm to the right (to make a space towards the left wall), then you cam hide 2 holes there, near to the top. 😉

Fantastic design, and you’ve introduced some cool materials and fixings! Turns out that the PS5 needs a extra stand that bumps it higher by 20-30mm, hopefully there’s enough clearance in the unit for that!

Man, hearing the litany of "biscuit, biscuit, biscuit, biscuit" makes me grin every time. I have definitely found myself hoping that you'll do a project that calls for joinery without screws, just so I can hear the cheerful little biscuit chant! The fact that I had a hamster named Biscuit when I was a kid might have something to do with it.

Really nice and simple cabinet, but you should add a cooling fan in there that'll remove the heat. Electronic components don't function very well when they over heating and that's definitely one place where they will.
@iQuincyboy4 жыл бұрын
Another awesome job, a pleasure to watch for sure! As for ventilation - you could consider making the top vented either via a grill (3d printed maybe?) with a fine mesh as a filter or via a kumiko panel. Keep up the great work!
@paulheitkemper15594 жыл бұрын
looks nice, but what are you doing for heat management? Small passively cooled electronics seem to run on the bleeding edge of their heat range. I would think that lack of airflow will be be a big problem with longevity.

I believe you should fix the cabinet to the wall using some sort of locking mechanism otherwise a weak kick from bottom fly the box and all it's contents! @nathanjp99534 жыл бұрын
Alexandre Chappel I was actually going to comment the exact same. You either need a fan or you could rout out slots in the top and bottom so the hot air can escape to the top and circulate a little. This would be a must have if you‘re planing to have longer gaming sessions and don’t plan on leaving the door open all the time
@frankblom85464 жыл бұрын
@@achappel Even for the modem there is not enough ventilation. The amp generates heat, the ps4 generates a LOT of heat. Dont think the ps5 would be cooler. You will slowly fry your equipment.
