If I understand it correctly, the reason why are both of your gyros moving in the same direction is, that the gyro is not centerting the center of mass on the center of that object, but on itself, so hypothetically the solution is to have the gyro right under the propeler

The reason it keeps levitating off the ground is because of the default LOD settings being quite low. If you go into the configuration menu for Valkyrien Skies (Not Eureka or Clockwork), there should be an LOD/Level of Detail option under physics. Set that to about 2046, restart the world, and it should be sorted. If you run into the issue again, then just raise the LOD some more.

I'm playing minecraft in VR, with create and distant horizons (btw shalz, DH is my strongest recommendation). And I feel like building an airship is the coolest thing you can do in VR. I'm not sure if I'm capable of doing this, cause you need so much for a functional airship in survival (fuel for steam boiler, refueling it, controls, power logistic, fancy airship).

You could use Create and additions for the electric motor so you just need electricity for rotation

I'm a slow player, and VR made me even slower, so this project will be a challenge for me, even though I have a basic understanding of what I need to do to implement all of it.
