Probably not. Enemies would just fire at the trash piles. They are not hard to spot, and you would be a sitting duck. Ghille suits works because you are hard to spot. Trash piles are easy to spot. They just cover the guy inside.

Something i do kinda find funny is that they maintain these airsoft courses insanely well to prevent people getting hurt on actual trash and stuff. But even then people see the pile and trash and because it fits what they imagine an abandoned place would have in it, they just kinda ignore it and assume its supposed to be there

Even in well maintained areas a pile of swept up or moved trash isn't unusual. Tbh I would find this believable in heavy woods, seen a lot of dump spots from campsites etc that look like this

While you're right and there's never trash everywhere they will sweep it all up in a corner or behind a door to get it out of people's way. Inky if its really windy will they take remove all the trash straight away and not leave it for later. It would be more realistic of it had a few leaves stuck on but nobody us going to be even looking for that kind of detail because trash ghillie suit is so uncommon

Full respect, it's a good clean game, no shouting, no aggression, no whining and most importantly no overshooting, i've just come back to the sport after like 9 years away from it and i'm seeing a TON of whining and overshooting, you put the rounds down at people and gave them opportunity to take the hit, how it should be, people just seem to be wanting to up the ROF on their weapons to spit as fast as possible and aim straight for the head, I never saw that much when I was in the sport before but I do see it a lot now.

This a strategy straight from WW2. My grandfather journal use describe his unit hiding in trash piles after setting up strings of grenades and caltrops. They have patrols go by once or twice and then next time they would pull the grenades and start shooting the left overs. Worked for a 13 man crew against large German patrols. Love your videos BTW Silo, always amazing. Reason I got into airsoft in Japan.

Sweet, we were always taught to use our surrounding materials and fauna. Never at any point seen this. We used to enter a shrub and use a small shell scrape or foxhole where applicable. Were never seen and had to stay on obs for days at times. I'm surprised the amount of people caught over the ridge line with sky behind them. Would love a shot of this see how rusty I've become 😁

In that regard, passive camoflage like a ghillie suit would be redundant. Squad marksmen or snipers might make use of them, but within a 3-400m engagement distance (the largest scope you're likely to fight in an urban setting), solid cover would be more ideal.

I think the best part of this is how out of place a trash pile like that is on the course, because I've never seen one of your games have something like that in a corner. they are _very_ well maintained 👏 It just goes to show how good the human brain is at filtering out what it deems as "expected input". In most abandoned urban/rural setting _like_ the game field, a pile of trash like that *is* normal, but for a crafted and tended environment that *is* the play field... that does not hold true. Honestly, it'll be great to actually open the eyes of most players who take that cleanliness for granted because once they realize what you are doing, they will realize just how clean the range normally is. It might even inspire some to help keep the area clean, if only to deny you cover

wouldnt be much use in real world. If youre in a gullie suit youre gonna be far away (sniper) and wont have much hard cover so you are hiding and praying they dont see movement. The reason it works is because you would be moving with the wind so youd look like the plants around you. If youre in an urban envirnment sniping you are looking for hard cover such as a wall because its harder to shoot through a wall than it is a guille suit. Hope that makes sense.
