Giant Moth Graveyeard: R.I.P My Dead Pet Moths!
These Moths are Giant! But sadly these pet moths do not live very long.
Please, HELP! My channel is demonetised - that means KZbin has NEVER allowed me to monetise my content. To run this channel, I am 100% and entirely dependent on the contributions of my viewers alone, since KZbin is not supporting my videos at all. If you want to help, consider becoming a member of my crowdfunding platform Patreon: www.patreon.com/BartButterflies - I am not just a random vlogger or KZbinr, I am an amateur entomologist that works with insects and makes educational content about them. Your contribution makes me help these animals, spread awareness and education, supports my research and my studies, and allows me to make web content and more. Members of my Patreon also get exclusive behind the scenes information, vote in polls that decide what videos I will make, and may be eligible to receive cocoons and eggs from me. Want to make a single donation without the financial obligation of Patreon? Send me a single payment through Paypal using this link: paypal.me/BartCoppens - thank you for reading and watching!

HOW does Bart get so many views and subscribers with just videos about obscure subjects like moths and insects? Well, to be honest, it’s because I am cheating a little. I use an extension called “TubeBuddy” that automatically generates the optimal keywords that will attract the maximum amount of viewers and subscribes, makes thumbnails for me, and analyses my content so I can learn what my audience wants to see. You can even add a rival channel to TubeBuddy and see from what keywords they are getting their views and subscribers, so that you can use them as well and ‘steal’viewers away from popular channels to your channel! If you are a serious KZbinr that wants more views and subscribers and wants to make KZbin their job, then you cannot go without TubeBuddy. TubeBuddy is free to use, and a free version that will improve your channel is available for everyone! There is also a paid version however, that has many more features. Follow this link to try Tubebuddy for free: www.tubebuddy.com/BartMothman - oh and before you go and use it to improve your channel, let’s keep this a secret, so that me and my audience have the advantage ;)
-
Check out my hobby website! I write caresheets about several species of butterflies and moths, so that you can learn how to breed them! It’s like my KZbin channel but in website form! Check it out: breedingbutterflies.com/
-
HOW Do I get the good equipment and tools for breeding and studying moths like Bart does? Because I got so many questions, I made webstores on websites like Ebay and Amazon, listing the EXACT same products that I use in my videos! This is so you can copy my breeding, researching and moth trapping methods! No, I do NOT sell these products myself, I just show you where to buy them! Amazon store: www.amazon.com/gp/profile/amzn1.account.AGQCHAFMR6IQVKZJ26SEZFZYO5JQ
Check out my social links to view my insect pictures or contact me and my community.

I am amazed at the condition of the Comet moths. Did they live a full life or did they die prematurely. I know you said you didn't euthanize any of the moths. That is good, but I am amazed at the condition of the Comet moths.
@BartCoppens

They are females, that explains it. In Saturniidae it is the role of the male to locate a female - he has to fly for miles while females are often very apathic and sit in the same spot for days. Only after they are fertilised females become more active to disperse some of their eggs, but all in all they are very lazy creatures that don't like to move much.

I have a question! So, many large silkmoths like the Luna moth and cecropia moth die in about a week in their winged adult state. I’m assuming this isn’t true for all moths, because if that is so, your graveyard would be MUCH larger! What kinds of large, beautiful moths have a longer lifespan?

4:05 the common name for papilio (chilasa) Mahadeva is the Burmese raven, not the common crow, the common crow (eulopea) is from the family Nymphalidae (brush footed butterflies) and are a danaid species, danidae, contains some of the most poisonous butterflies (if you eat them); the papilio (chilasa) mahadeva is from the butterfly family papilionidae ( swallowtails); so papilio (chilasa ) mahadeva is just mimicking the common crow (eulopea core), we know this for sure since there is another mimic of the striped blue crow (eulopea mulciber) called the great blue mime..
