I absolutely love the attitude of just rigging together two boats, pitching a tarp on it and going out in the pouring rain to fish all night. Never complaining when the fish slip away or when the bedding gets soaked. Just happy to be out and to have freedom and the excitement of fishing.

I think he liked having some water in them so when he caught a keeper he just dropped it in the boat with the water. Granted it's not salt water but I'm sure it's better than just throwing them in a dry boat.

A good trick we use for Pike and other slippery fish is having a Nail or screw head protruding out of the wood. You push a small hole at the tail overtop of it and use it for leverage. Great on a tiny space!

Same with catfish, nail through jaw bone or, we used to nail them straight to a trees, cut around head and down spine, put skin off with pliers, then cut filets straight off

I love your construction and the number of fish you caught was amazing, they're all new species to me. You are inspiring, I was going to do the same years ago but with a large jetski with 2 vertical poles for a hammock setup. For the eel, you just gut it, remove the head and slice it into chunks and cook it. You don't usually fillet it.

I really enjoyed watching this. I always liked tent camping in the rain. Maybe I'll try a pontoon boat on the lake. Except for it being a hundred plus degrees and hasn't rained for over a month. And I don't have a pontoon boat. Damn. I'm going to the kitchen and make some ramen. Then I'll look for any more video's like this.
