These are the best sounding IRs, I've played through in a LONG TIME. I hope you release more. Dare I say, even better than all the competitors? They have that amp like "air" feeling. GREAT JOB! and Thank you!

bass boost is what makes an IR or model sound more like a real amp because it counter acts the low end that is cut out by the microphone. most good amps have 12 inch speakers that put out a lot of bass which is what gives the "amp in the room" feeling that vibrates everything in the room

I was a bit confused trying out the three ones at first. Then I thought I'd try them with some profile that i like but I knew was rather on the thin side and really loved the result. With High-Gain (initially I wouldn't have tried that anyway but after reading some comments indicating these would be more suited towards higher gain I gave it a try) it was... not an option to say the least. 🙈

A heads-up for Kemper users. I bought a few of these packs, and due to the Kemper/Rig Manager having a name length restriction for presets, when I imported them to Rig Manager, every IR within any given pack ended up having exactly the same name. So there's no way of seeing which one is which, ie 'Bright' 'Thick' 'Full' 'Scooped' etc. Be prepared to have to rename (shorten) ALL the files BEFORE importing them to RM, or you're not visually going to have a clue which is which.

I can only Imagine what John Cordy could do with these IR's. I thought your Samples from Last Week's video were Stunning for Touch Sensitivity , Amp in the Room Sound.

John Cordy would do 3 videos with these IRs. "Why you must have these Ir's". " why you should never buy these" "Do we really need these irs"

You know I tried the first set you posted (the incorrect ones), and really couldn't get a decent tone out of them. Well, I've just tried the new correct version, and can definitely say there's a huge difference. Going to try one in rehearsal tomorrow 👍

these do sound more lively and open. you know, i thought the initial ones you demoed sounded a little bit boomy, but i thought it was in the capture choice and intentional. i definitely like the new ones better. there is some nice heft in the old ones, but still maybe a little exaggerated. thanks for the update!

I was one that enjoyed the free packs with the bass. Lots of bass but for the “placater dirty” in helix, I thought it sounded fantastic 😂 thanks again!

Thank you for being so quick to fix and send out the replacement files. I did notice in the 48k quick start folder for the orange cab sm545OA isn’t in the new file folder. Was this a change? I see it in the folder with the mic name.

Good sounding IR's ....but to be honest , are we needing all the EQ options....The IR is for the character and eq can be applied after or before the IR....it cost a lot of time to compare them , imho
@ToneJunkieTVАй бұрын
@@FunkMauzz There is a quick start folder in each pack that just contains the mics with no addition EQ. That way you can get started quickly and get to the goods. The additional EQs are just there if you want to experiment because realistically all recorded guitars have some post EQ applied. The engineer will always do something to the sound.

There's a recent YT video called "Joe Bonamassa Rig Exploration | How to Sound Like a Million Bucks (Literally)" where he plays through a number of his rare and awesome Amps. Guitarists who use Modelers should take a listen to the immense amount of bass and mids, and reduced treble he dials in for his live gigs. If you want to dial in a Modeler, his live Amp sounds provides a good comparison.

Compared the free ones to some of my usual suspects and the internal HX Stomp ones. No comparison. I'm sorry, but these IRs sound really bad. And yes, I can of course post a sound comparison.
@ToneJunkieTVАй бұрын
@@Sascha_Franck Sorry to hear that. What are you not liking about them? Too much bass?

@@ToneJunkieTV To my ears, they sound harsh and shallow/hollow at the same time, a bit boomy, too. Really nothing I'd want to use live (perhaps serving whatever purposes for recordings, but they wouldn't be something I'd ever consider using). Just in case you're interested, here's a very short pattern. Amp sim used is the Grammatico GSG outta the HX universe. What you'll hear is 6 two-bar patterns. Using the HX Mandarin 30, your AC 30 IR, Mandarin again (for better comparison purposes), your Marshall IR, Mandarin again, your Orange IR. If you feel like, listen at volume. drive.google.com/file/d/1xBBYtXWm9_E4iMaaEgt01iEc13Mbi2H8/view?usp=sharing Of course, I could tweak the amp settings so things would sound more acceptable through your IRs, but thing is, the very same amp settings sound just fine through a whole bunch of IRs whereas through yours - well - at least to my ears, they sound as described.
