Very cool! I hope this makes it. Noticing on the legs red and blue brackets used. Would be fun if Lego picks this up to continue this as it’s the Superman colors.

This is one of the best Ideas ideas I've seen in a long time. Really great mix of ball-and-socket and ratcheted joints, and just enough exposed studs to give it that mechanical look without it looking too blocky. Love it.

just a quibble, but if you had reversed the knee joint parts (receiver part in the thigh, knee-joint in the shin) it would've given more poseability (and leg pose stability), with the ability to be sat with one leg propped up on the other leg's knee as an example.

Iron Giant was the first ever movie I cried to. I remember the message hit me so profoundly; always be who you are, and no matter what you can choose who you want to be. He sacrifices himself after figuring out that he can choose to do good and that no matter what anyone had thought of him he knew he was good…that he was Superman. This build was just absolutely Astonishing at how well you were able to recreate him; thank you for sharing this, you made me think back to a fond memory

i love everything about this!! the sad thing is that if it does become an actual set is i know that lego will butcher the hell out of making the iron giant and just doing their own take on it. meaning it wont be as detailed or have the joints for posebility lolol

Yeah unfortunately. The chance of this becoming a set is incredibly low too, since it is from some form of IP, and greedy LEGO hates making sets that they have to pay a bunch of money to the owners of the license. Besides LEGO Ideas doesn't release anything good anymore. We can still hope though!

I love this build and I was looking at the LEGO ideas website and saw awesome builds like this and I hope this becomes an actual LEGO set because I really like the iron giant and have wished for LEGO to make it a set

So, a lot of people say your Mocs are better than LEGO’s designs which is true but it’s unfair to compare because they have to follow budgetary and stability constraints. But here’s a time when you actually did a better job than LEGO. You gave a mech knees. They never give mechs posable knees. Just look at Optimus Prime. He’s very similar in proportion to the Iron Giant but his knees don’t bend. There’s so many poses you can do just by allowing the knees to bend so good job with this. I will definitely support this and I can’t see it _not_ reaching 10k supporters but I really feel like this has a big chance at becoming an actual set. Especially after MultiVersus.

8:32 That connection there with the 2x1 round plates... I'd suggest revising that if you want this to have a better chance at becoming an official set, because I don't think LEGO would like that connection the way it currently is.
