I paint with water colour in Australia. More from you please. I would love to see the dandelion pigments swatched as water colour.

What purpose does the eggwhite have? The gum forms the matrix for the pigments to settle in, the honey makes the color easier to dissolve, so I don’t see the eggwhite in this picture..

i think it helps with the texture of the paint and for the dried paint in the pan not to crack too ! Put i'm not an alchemist so i'm not 100% sure

Oh my gosh you are awesome! I’m trying to learn how to make pigments from natural resources myself. Question. What plants, rocks or other natural resources do you use to get like dark reds , blues or deep purples? Some of the stuff I get from red cabbage ends up being really light almost pastel like. So how do you get richer colors?
@multicolore_ Жыл бұрын
Hey there ! Red and blues are to my experience some colors that are fairly rare in the natural world, at least where I live here in Québec. Some plants like madder roots give deep reds. As for the blues, indigo would be the deepest I know. For the purples, lichen could be interesting. But I think your best shot would be through out fermentation. Many plants once fermented give darker colors and can give wonderful blue and purple hues.

Oh my god that's so cool and great, honestly I normally when I hear eco-friendly automatically think in vegan, I Know this one it's not which is completely fine, i think it's better than other chemical options out there tho but do you think or see as viable some alternative vegan recipes for paint binder too? That would be great, I hope with the knowledge you have for natural materials can gave me some guide or suggestions for that, than you in advance ❤
