Make sure you use the continent filters if you looking to make the animal requirements perfect. It’ll stop you from having to check through all the options.

I was hoping someone shared that tip. When I found out you can just click on the actual tags in the animal bio panel it was a game changer for me

It made me laugh every time you said foliage, not just because of how many times you used it, but also because of how you pronounce it with an extra ‘i’ like foiliage lol.

It's a super fun idea to randomize the zoo. I think I will steal that because I DO have all the DLC plus animal mods and the amount of options is overwhelming. Maybe that way I will get something else than flamingos, peacocks and turtles because that's what I do and then I start a new zoo xD (Also, sorry to say but it's foliage, not foilage.)

OMG the editing and camera work in this is so good! Genuinly better then a lot of bigger KZbinrs I've seen play planet zoo. You kept it engaging and interesting and showed your process and the thoughts around it while keeping in time with the video! Great work! I hope to see more!

For mountains I can recommend using cylinders. Absolutely overwork it with these fuckers first. They add so much interesting verticality and that's the clou - don't be afraid elevating with cylinders to make it matter. Afterwards you can add rocks on the sides to make it a real rocky surface, smooth out where you need to, maybe add some interesting forms with overhanging platforms or even arches. Of course, for the stereotype, maybe add a waterfall or something. Foliage. Hardest thing is to keep track on is the reachability as well as visilibity AND - which always makes me angry, because it can be so hard - make sure there's no place for the animals to jump any barriers.

This is such a well done video! The aethetic you have is a+, and I'm impressed with how good you made the habitats look despite claiming to not know what you're doing. I look forward to see what you come up with next

I got really scared when “For the 5th habitat we’re playing with hippos”, because normal hippos need A LOT of space but then I was fine when it was clarified that a Pygmy hippo habitat was being made😅💀 Good video and zoo though, I have been playing planet zoo since 2020, and I still seem to not be able to make a good habitat other then the pit habitats with the null barriers lol (New subscriber btw)

What a wholesome video! 💙 I think this is how most of us regular players play and enjoy the game, while a lot of planet zoo content out there focuses on hyper realistic perfect looking habitats (which is cool of course, but is often discouraging). Great work, nice zoo, fun video :)
@BTPFTW Жыл бұрын
You are actually supposed to switch out the toys for the animals in hard mode. Animals grow bored of toys and they need to be rotated around. So yeah you do have to completely replace the bonobo toys 😅

I really really liked this video. Hope you dont hate me. But the reason for liking it is because your habitats are not over the top nice. They are nice. But doable nice. Currently I don't wanna continue my zoo because the habitats don't look like they do on KZbin. They are meh. But, I like that you just continue and enjoy. Im gonna try this. Thanks for the video.

Really love your zoo! I love planet zoo as an idea, but can't ever get into it because I'm overwhelmed at the sheer amount of creativity the game gives you. How do you handle that? Being able to build a whole restaurant piece by piece is so tedious and overwhelming for someone like me with ZERO creativity. Zoo Tycoon 2 had just simple prebuilt things and it makes me feel safe :)

Id like to pitch an idea, a pokemon game that is also a zoo builder, you could go sround to the different regions and catch all the different Pokemon to put in your zoo, but it would vost more to travel to different regions and pokeballs so you eould have to have financially stable zoo

Fantastic video, I was surprised to see this is a small channel, this is at least 5k subs quality content. Though, if I had to give my own constructive criticism, I'd personally prefer some subtle background music to give the video a bit more plump, I guess, otherwise I enjoyed the video, keep it up!

awesome video! the zoo looks so cool o.o i know the struggles with getting cats to jump on rocks in planet zoo ^.^'' and funny, with terrain painting i do it the opposite, so that under trees and foliage and around rocks its soily/sandy and grassy in areas where the sun shines. cool to see a different view on that!
