this was a serious MIC DROP moment, Ralli Roots wins. I was having difficulty watching HT attempting to breakdown how he wasn't satisfied. I know he sorta attempted to state Ralli is up and up (which they clearly are, duh) but he was firmly trying to make a point that he thought he got screwed in a nice way. But he didnt. Any decent reseller in hats knows that he scored. A simple google lens of the hats indicates that. I was very surprised HT went there but Ryan handled it perfectly. Your standard Pupil getting butt hurt attempting he is legit but getting smacked down by teacher sorta moment. I respect Josh and appreciate his hard work and content, but Ralli takes him to school here. Hopefully he just owns and concedes.

30 years ago, my husband and I sold at Plant city flea mrk. We sold at all the markets in Florida. Monday at Webster. We lived in a converted school bus for a year and traveled the country. Sold at the flea markets for a living. From Jacksonville to California and all the states in between, In the morning we would walk around and buy and then resell the same day. i would study all the prices guides for values. No internet back then!! We still have the thrill of buying and selling.... So glad your young generation is into it as well. I could write a book of all the crazy things we bought for huge profits.

Ryan, I have so much respect for you and Josh. I am on no sides here, think your both did a great job how you dealt with the hats. I watched the hat video's on Josh's side before you posted this one, and I truly think he did not think there was much profit in the box, at first look, they did not look so profitable from a "untrained" eye like myself watching that, lol . But so much respect for your $200 refund, and both of you having very kind words for each other in all videos. All the best, Susan

I thought the same thing about the profit not being there. I don't know hats, I just saw a bunch of old snapbacks that I see every weekend at yard sales for .25 cents. My wife would have cut my head off over $500 hat deal. But look, Hairy made some great money, nice. I think Hairy should give Ryan a cut of the refund back for doing so well. I think those who are comparing ralliroots and hairy tornado don’t understand that everyone has different goals in mind. Josh is a great reseller. He able to provide for his family so much so Hayley is now full time. Ryan and Alli are absolutely great resellers and provide for their family as well. Josh seems very much content with his lifestyle while in my opinion Ryan and Alli have a lifestyle that is a bit more expensive… and I mean there is nothing wrong with that! Each do well for what they need or want in life. Both make very good content and I think it’s just the audience that just want the drama. Anyway that’s my insight. But for the question part.. you said to scale you should start with wholesale. What items would you suggest a beginner wholesaler should start with ?

First off another solid video. Yalls integrity in how you operate your business speaks volumes and since this deal was so public it had everyone’s opinions attached to it which can be challenging. But you guys handled it very well. Now question for maybe next weeks video? Since wholesale is a big part of your business are you actively searching for new leads? Or are you at the point where you made the connections and just maintaining those relationships? If you are searching. What is your process in looking for solid connections? Or what did you do when you were trying to build that side of the business more.

I've never bought wholesale from you guys but I do know you're all very open about what kind of profits you'd make.. Other Wholesalers are all "It's a mystery box" kind of deal. $500 into $1500 GROSS in a week is crazy, keep doing that every week and that's an easy $70k+ for the year, which I must admit beats having to go to Garage Sales and Flea Markets and maybe make half that amount in a year. Or IDK do Wholesale Buys and Picks and make bank.. Either way your guys transparency is whole reason you're 1 of the two KZbin resellers I enjoy watching.

At the end of the day, most people just don't understand wholesale because they haven't grown their business to the point where it makes sense yet. I've purchased wholesale from you guys several times and it's always been within the expected profit range. The hat lot was definitely within the 25-35% ROI you'd expect on a wholesale deal of that size, not even taking audience and ad revenue into the equation. Was it a home run / golden goose type of deal - of course not, but very few wholesale arrangements are. The issue is people can say whatever they want on the internet, even with zero knowledge on the topic, and others will pile on. I'm not talking about Josh either. I really like him and I think he does a good job. He's also one of the very few resellers that's transparent about focusing more on KZbin than the actual resale business. I'm talking about random viewers that form insanely strong opinions without fully understanding what they're talking about.

Love your vids. I just started reselling last month. I'm in month two as a total newbie and I'm averaging 4 sales per day now. eBay really treats you good if you list quality items daily and stay active. Had a bad experience with a lady and a sewing machine because I offer free returns, and I shipped it to her for free (mistake) and return shipping was too crazy to pay, so I ended up just refunding her because she "didn't like it" and letting her keep it. Lesson learned, I'm staying away from everything but clothing and accessories for now!

?? Recently I came back from vacation and did the proper preparation before and placed my store on time away(vacation mode). I had a few items that had been bought(but not paid for) and reached out to those buyers telling them that I was going on vacation but that if they paid before the end of the day, before i left the next day, that they could be shipped out..no answers. When I came back I started going through my messages and buyers were furious and wanted to cancel, mind you some of them hadn't paid for 3 days, and I noticed that it affected my eBay shipping stats. I know that eBay is trying to work on better solutions for items not paid, but how would you handle something like this? I did refund my buyers, though they still are not happy, but I think it's unfair that my on time shipping rate was affected by buyers who didn't make payments immediately....i do have some items on pay immediately but its never really made a difference. Do you think this is something that needs to be addressed further to eBay? Does it actually encourage them to change when emailing and calling or do you think I'm just a goldfish in a lake?
