Love your vids! Question though, I like making my own devlogs, and was wondering, do you write and use a script? Also any tips to get devlogs out faster? Anyway great vid, hopefully I myself can compete in a game jam someday!
@sigmoiddev4 ай бұрын
Yeah, everything is scripted - I tend to have a rough idea for an intro or specific scene, then write the rest of the script around that. I'll start with the recording, then add in all of the appropriate video clips and filler gifs. Once that's done I add whatever music/SFX are needed. If I had any tips for how to get devlogs out faster I'd be using them myself! 🤣

That seems like a really great game! Keep it up, I'm surely trying it. Just a curiosity: is there any way to know the application you are using for writing down the ideas?

Hey! Nice work! What tool are you using for planning at the beginning of the video?

Great video! In my opinion, slightly over edited. I personally prefer simpler graphics as opposed to constant relevant b-roll
@stalpers3 ай бұрын
I agree, good content and I appreciate the effort into the editing, but the random segues could really be cut in at least half.

Will you upload part 2 of this video?

Ehh, probably not (at least I'm not working on it at the moment). I'm kind of focusing on my main project at the moment and it would probably take up too much time.

Great work. I have a 11 yr old that is interested in making games. can you recommend and books or other resources to get started? Thanks
@sigmoiddev3 ай бұрын
Most of what I learned was just from following tutorials on KZbin and from practicing. I did make a video specifically on my journey learning game dev if that would be of interest.

I started game development at a young age (9) and for your son/daughter wouldn’t say get any books. Brackeys how to make a game series it nice but I would recommend his latest godot tutorial it’s really cool I would say watch a bit of the video first and install everything necessary then give it to your son daughter good luck to them!
