In this video I make a team of quarterbacks in Madden NFL 22. I have QBs at every single position. Lamar Jackson plays running back for example. The simple fact that offense was that easy is a testament to how unimportant ratings are in this game. Your linemen should’ve been pancaked every play. I don’t get this game, good video though, i was thoroughly entertained

A big issue in a lot of sports games is how bad characters aren’t… bad. I get having mediocre guys in the 60s-early 70s still looking like can play ball just lacking in certain ways, but if you drop a player to absolute bottom they still look half decent for some reason

@@Whiston555 it's part of the reason I wish the early-00s Maddens had the gameplay and franchise revisions of later games. Madden 2003's lowest overall player is in either the 30s or 40s and there are dozens of players that low in OVR ratings; I actually counted the totals up for Maddens 2003-08, but need to find where I wrote it down. Either way, while those ratings seem insulting, it created some actual* disparity and separation between superstar players and guys down the depth chart or in the FA pool that simply couldn't hang with the best.

The sad part is that EA calls this "simulation" football. Lord I hate what they have done with the genre.

It's been this way since the series left PS2. Back then, you could cheese QB runs to some extent with a truly bad roster, but truly bad WRs would drop balls/not get separation, bad HBs would fumble often (especially trying to break a tackle), bad LBers did not wrap up, and bad DBs simply would get blown by on vertical passing routes. But NCAA 14, for example, plays the exact same way as Madden right now does with how rushing defense is the only real nightmare with an 18 OVR team; offense is actually manageable if you don't just sit in the pocket or run the ball up the middle often, and even pass defense is somewhat doable.

I played high school football with Feleipe Franks, I didn't even know he made it to the NFL I played with his older brother Jordan Frank's too both made it to the NFL that's awesome, Feleipe used to play QB and kick field goals in high school I wonder if that's why they made him be able to kick in the game if so good scouting at least for the developers lol
