What a fantastic use of the sheet! Your sister (and her dogs) looks great in them too. I love it when you can use sewing equipment that holds such wonderful memories. I have lots of things from my mother and grandmother and I love to feel them alongside me, watching me create. My sister lives away but is here this weekend, Yesterday, I was showing her and her daughter my scrap bag. Within it are scraps of fabric from dresses my Mum made for us.... they are almost 50 years old!! SO many wonderful memories.... it makes me very happy. Thank you for all the hard work you put into your sewing and your video making. The love in both shines through and makes me smile :)

Thank you for your super nice comment! ✨✨ It's amazing to be able to reuse fabric from 50 years ago, especially if they carry lovely memories 😍 sending you a big hug!

I love all the treasures from my granny's sewing room. She was a dressmaker and it feels like I am close to her when I use her things.

That is a very impressive video, I loved it! So much work both on the sewing and editing, great results, and such a sweet story to make it for your sister (and her dogs)! All the finished pieces are beautiful. I hope to see what you made with the dyed green pieces, that was beautiful! And such a great idea to dye some of the fabric, I would never have thought of it!

That's what I have been doing. I found flat sheets at the thrift shop, and I made 2 dresses for myself. New fabric is expensive, and you get a lot of fabric in a sheet.

That's great 😍 I only found once a sheet I liked in a thrift store. I did a quilt with it and I still have a lot of fabric left. I hope I can find more ✨

You are so talented and what a beautiful and thoughtful gift for your sister's birthday 💖 I love that you used a damaged bedsheet to make so many projects! Thank you for sharing your video and ideas, it's very inspiring 🙏🥰 I have just made a pair of summer trousers from a thrifted cotton bedsheet. I love them! And there is so much fabric left, so I will make a top and a dress if there is enough. Bravo Estel! 👏🥳

Thank you so much, you are so kind ✨🥰 cotton trousers for summer is smart! I'm sure you will have enough fabric for the dress, if not, maybe mix it with another cotton fabric. Good luck! 💖

Great pieces. If I may, I will give a little bit of advice. Finish your raw edges with a zig zag stitch to make the garments last much longer. Without this your fabric will fray. The other one is adding interfacing on the waistband to add sturdiness to this part.
@estelsogo5 ай бұрын
Hello! Thank you for the advice, I appreciate it 😊 i did made the zig zag stich but I did not know about the interfacing in thr waistband, do you mean on the waistband with the elastic?
@mel_issa__5 ай бұрын

Hola, Estel! Patronatge? Cosir a màquina? Gràcies!
@estelsogo5 ай бұрын
Hola!
