I can't lie, someone said the realest thing: I want AI to help me with my dishes and laundry so I have time to create art. Not have AI create my art so I have more time to do dishes and laundry. This all this made cool and insane, but all I can think is I don't want the humanity of everything to be removed from all that we do.

The truth is technology will ALWAYS, and ALWAYS, affect all parts of life. Be it just normal chores or professional work or art. it can never REPLACE A CREATIVE person. but it will ALWAYS REPLACE A SKILLED person. knowing how to use Illustrator or photoshop doesn't make you creative, it makes you skilled in that software knowing how to play an instrument again doesn't make you creative to make your own song, just makes you skilled to play that instrument. Similarly these AI tools are only going to replace the SKILLED people, it can never replace creative ones.

Agree. I consider some content creation use cases to be similar to doing dishes and laundry. Like the examples that Sara gives in this video, which were essentially "filling in missing pieces" or correcting errors in the same style that the video was. It's saving time for creative people to do the actual "art" bit, not wasting time on fixes by setting everything up again and refilming small parts. Cool tools, but shouldn't flat out replace the human(ity) in content creation and creative work. Edit: Well, I clearly didn't watch the video fully before commenting. The end was pretty much what I said, so I'm just repeating obvious things :D

The moment AI replaces KZbin videos hosts is the moment I create an AI version of myself watching the videos. But Ill get a daily summary of what my AI counterpart has watched and I'll teach it to dislike certain videos and unsubscribe from others if they talk about certain topics. Then I can get my AI counterpart to do my work and then I can spend time doing art or music.

Right now, that's my tell that a channel is using AI generated content, particularly voice over only channels. When it pronounces a word or reads an initialism in a way that I've never heard anyone else use, like if a channel reads HMMWV as "H-M-M-W-V" instead of "hum-vee" or WR as "W-R" instead of "wide receiver". It's shocking that channels are so lazy as to not double-check the output and correct the script.

Fun vid! One interesting idea would be to have a just less than ideal alter-ego character who pops in an out of a video; tries to take over at certain points ; insert themselves into the video for humor; that way the contrast becomes intentional and fun and creeps people out way less. That way one can introduce and delegate stuff in a less serious and a more tongue in cheek way😅😅

As a creator, are you not concerned with other people uploading audio from some of your videos, cloning your voice, and using it for bad purposes? The horse has bolted, so little audio is needed to do "fit for nefarious purposes" there's actually no point trying to clean out content history (your voice on the internet). Let me put it another way; if you have a giant field and keeping things in/out with a fence. Even a small part of the fence missing still let's things in and out and negates the rest of the fence.

Hi, greetings from Mexico. I'm glad that a lot of the membres of criminal organizations in my country don't understand a word you're saying, because if they do, You don't have the slightest idea of all the monstrosities they would be doing to a lot of innocent people. When I hear you (and other content creators like you) smiling and commenting "how cool and awesome this toys are" I recall a lot of scenes of the movies I watched when I was a teenager (National Lampoon's Animal House, Porky's and similar when they jumped from a house's roof down to the pool only to have some fun). For you everything in your content calendar is is a way of not getting bored. You just pin point in the "awesomeness" of the apps, but what about the legal stuff in 06:10? "I hereby confirm that I have all the necessary rights or consents to upload and clone these voice samples and that I will not use the plattform-generated content for any illegal, fraudulent or harmful purpose. I reafirm my obligation to abide by ElevenLabs' Terms of Service, Prohibited content and Uses policy and Privacy Policy." Is that all? Is it all the accountability that ElevenLabs is going to face if something goes very wrong?. I would like to see your friend's face in the very beginning of your video if you, instead of your voice, used his voice saying things that he wouldn't have liked to be known. You talk about how much time you're going to save, but that is part of the fun in making things! A lot of comments are saying that the IA shoul be doing the dishes, the laundry and the hard work, not removing humans from the human activities, I agree with that. I think you're a fine, fun and creative person, but you and all that "IA hype" content creators, in the way I see the things, are like little Oppenheimers shaking a bomb to see "what happens in honor to kill boredom". With all this breaches to personal security coming soon... "Que dios nos agarre confesados". Buen día.

For what concerns the training for videos maybe the best thing to do is doing it with a good green screen well lightened, so to be able to choose the background in post-production (changing the background of the video is something you might want to do, for example, in order to differentiate the subject of your videos). And perhaps another good idea could be to do two training sessions, one for full-body shots and one for half-body shots, and create the two versions of the video using AI. Subsequently, in the video editing program, you could overlay the two obtained clips on separate tracks, allowing you to decide in post-production when to change the framing.

Obviously this kind of technology currently scares people, but humans are extremely good at adapting. Not long ago, we didn't have phones or the internet, and now they're completely normalized. All disruptive technologies are scary, and generally people reject them hard until they're phased in and then we tend to accept it and worry about what's next. I've always been pro-AI, as I see it as the next step in our advancement of our civilisation. AI makes driving significantly safer. AI replaces the need for human labour, which shouldn't be our standard of living like it currently is. AI speeds up research and development exponentially. AI unlocks so much creative potential. Yes, it might seem scary and too disruptive at the moment, but as I said, humans are incredible at adapting to our ever-changing world, and as we welcome this kind of technology in, rather than destroying the world and throwing us into some dystopian future like media suggests, we will simply continue to find more problems to solve; they'll just be more complex. Advancement is beautiful; it's just that change is notoriously scary, as it disrupts the reality we've become so comfortable with.

I definitely get a sense of dread watching stuff like this. But I take solace in the fact that humans are adaptable and are typically harder to fool in the long run. Sure, there are cases now and will continue to be some cases in which A.I. will be able to dupe people and pass off as the real thing. But even if it gets to the point where A.I. audio and video are completely indistinguishable from real audio and video, there's still the fact that humans can understand this and will quickly factor it into their overall judgement. So the most terrifying aspects that we can imagine coming from this likely will only have a short window where they can be truly effective and will become less and less effective over time in terms of fooling people. And the real consequence of all this is that the faith we place in audio and video will vastly decrease, and perhaps even vanish all together. And while that will definitely suck, its a far cry from complete chaos. I mean both audio and video content is extremely new in the grand scheme of human history. So even if it became completely worthless in a number of ways as a result of A.I. destroying the faith we can place in it, it won't be the end of the world. And if your fears have less to do with the erosion of trust we can place in audio and video files, and more to do with how A.I. will effect industries where live humans have to produce this content instead, that too shouldn't be as apocalyptic as it may seem. In the worst case scenario, where AI wipes out complete professions, take solace in the fact that many professions throughout human history have been annihilated by new technology before, and society hasn't collapsed. In fact, it usually progresses from an overall perspective. Additionally, if we compare it to something similar, like the use of CGI in films vs practical effects. We can see that audiences still value practical effects to such a degree that the film industry shifted from placing tons of emphasis on the kinds of computer effects they could achieve in the 80s and 90s when the technology was new, to now placing emphasis on the kind of practical effects they include in their films. And I suspect there will be similar oppotunities with A.I. Sure, there will be a lot of A.I. content. But humans will still value art made by other humans and that will be sought after, and thus still exist to one degree or another.

I just hope these companies pushing out all these features also keep in mind the negative impacts it is going to have. Validating who you are before generating your avatar is definitely a step in the right direction. However, the barrier of entry is too low. And with very little effort, and more importantly investment, you are able to generate high quality video content at anytime. This almost eliminates the barrier of entry into content creation. It is definitely helpful for a lot of people. But at the same time, it gives KZbin algorithms tons of new content to shove on my feed. Or worse, promote false news, misinformation, misleading content

The only problem with that idea is the financial cost! ☠️ I did go about doing this with an application called NaturalReader, but it only allows 4000 characters or 5 minutes of audio on the free version, and that only clears a KZbin Shorts script, lol.

This is the real problem I have with AI is not so much what it will be used for, but that people who already deny everything including facts, science, data, and more will now have an excuse to never listen to factual information they don't like ever again.

The problems start when we all move from the default mindset of 'most things I see online are probably real' to 'most things I see online are probably AI'- which may happen if too many people start using AI generated content. I have actually been accused of being an AI during a debate on Reddit about AI , but the interesting thing was that nothing I could say would really prove I was human- and You Tubers may soon have the same problem- you may not use AI for your public facing content, but how would you prove this if someone said you were? We could all soon be in the position of being unable to prove we are real people, which is kind of crazy. What I think is being overlooked here is that AI itself will change the environment in which AI operates. Sure, today, we all kind of assume that AI is a small part of the overall ecosystem of online content- but as more and more AI gets used in images, video, music, writing ect we will all be faced with the reality that more and more of what we see and hear online will be AI generated- which may impact even on those who choose not to use AI because it's going to be really difficult to prove onlne that you or the content you create are not AI generated. Facebook for some strange reason seems to think it's a good idea to populate their platform with fake AI people- and where they lead I guess others will follow, so we are fast heading for a world where real people and AI generated people become impossible to tell apart- what implications this has for the future of society are very hard to predict.

Sure, there will be a lot of A.I. content. But humans will still value art made by other humans and that will be sought after, and thus still exist to one degree or another."

With all the criticism here, I just have to point out that we’ve been doing voice cloning way before this AI surge. We use it to help people for example who have ALS who we know are going to lose their voice in order to preserve it so that we can build it into a machine for them to communicate with when their voice is gone. 11 Labs was at the forefront of this and we trust them.

U se for Ai voice cloning that I hadn’t considered until fairly recently is for people who may be in danger of losing their ability to speak. My mother in law has Motor Neurone Disease, and as a precaution against her losing her voice, she has recorded voice samples for a voice clone to be made, and she will be able to “speak” using her voice, and not a mechanically sounding one (think Stephen Hawking). So while AI cloning is scary, there is a very important side where people can preserve aspects of themselves now *just in case*.

It may be a good idea to say your name a few times in the training data, especially if you’re going to have it say that your last name rhymes with peachy, because it’s not saying it that way. Also, the AI video would be more realistic if it’s audio would capture the room dynamics, if you’re going to be using the same set a lot. Maybe you can run the audio through a reverb filter that closely matches the dynamics of your room.

A.I. is all fun and games until it isn't. We need A.I. to carry out the tasks we don't want to do, like clean my toilet and bathroom, so I can create the fun and games like we used to be able to perform without the need for A.I. to kidnap our ability to be creative and fun.

Listen up everyone, if you don't have a job that requires a human being to physically do it, such as an on-site welder or carpenter, or a fabricator, or insurance claims adjuster, etc etc, AI is going to take your job. KZbin channels will all be AI generated and mass produced and competition will eliminate anyone who tries to do KZbin the old-fashioned way (i.e themselves as a human speaking into a camera).

FWIW My custom eco house was made in a factory and clipped together on site. No wet trades, no earthworks - just a few days for electricians, plumbers and heat-pump installers. In the future much of that tradesman work could be done in the factory too.

I really appreciate everything you did in this video. You're actually speaking true facts and you connect with your audience like no other. I agree that AI can be scary and I hate AI being thrown into everything, but how you want to use it and how you talk about AI is really refreshing. AI isn't the best thing in the world, nor is it the one thing that will doom humanity and I think you share that perspective. Also I work in design and I hate that everyone tries to design with AI. It's a creative job and all the thought that goes into every little detail, at least to me, makes me feel good and I appreciate when humans craft something, rather than write a loveless prompt to let someone else do something you don't know a thing about. Thanks for the great video, excited to see more since I just subscribed. Keep it up!

I can see the usefulness of the video and audio generation AI tech. One of the things that I see though in the AI generated footage for the squarespace sponsor spot is that, while the hand movement is expressive, it seems like its a little disconnected from what is being said and emphasizes the wrong parts of the sentences. HOWEVER, it definitely has come a long way since when it started, definitely impressive.

AI makes me wonder "why bother?" I wish it didn't make me feel that way, but it does... Also I'm scared about people imitating or straight up body snatching people. Like having people use AI to impersonate and identity theft someone else. It's so weird to me that this technology even exists. It feels like it's only designed to steal from people...

You brought up an important point. Use AI to increase productivity. This is why it’s important more than ever to learn new skills. Like, I find it to be imperative to learn to code to understand the logic. Then AI can assist you in doing the “heavy lifting” of productivity. Long term, I believe AI has potential to become our personal companion for everything. Letting AI know about one self is imperative to help you be better, physically and mentally. However, digital security is a must, of course.

Although it is very convincing, this is closer to 'AI editing' that full 'AI generated footage'. It's literally re-hashing your provided material.... It's cool and everything, but, it's still takes a lot of work, by the human, to get to the result! It's a useful AI editing tool.
