This was a lot of fun! If you are interested in anything in the general tech space, please consider subscribing to my new channel: www.youtube.com/@rachelftech; I'd love to see some of you over there! I'm not totally sure what I'll be posting there yet, but I started out with an overview of how I made this project: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHm5gWiamtyflZo If you have a webcam and an audio interface, you can try out the website here: rachelf.com/guitar-face-effects/. There is a lot of latency on Windows, but it's still fun to play around with :). Hope you all have an awesome weekend!

I love how you can hardly demonstrate this technology without being overtaken by the absurdity of it. Your resting-face smile while you play is infectious, but you have turned it up to 11 with this one. Love it! 🙂

I love that curiosity led you to this and that you built it just for fun. I occasionally code things just for fun so definitely see the allure.

Rachel, this is very interesting! I know on the keyboard side of the world there has always been some sort of modulation control usually done with pitch and mod wheels… but nothing too much in the way for guitars except a volume or wah pedal… this could become quite interesting with human supplied emotion for expressing the feeling of a guitar solo with mixed modulation, for example vibrato and tone. Nice work on the app! I would say this is worth developing further. Rock on!

This made me laugh the whole time and I never seen someone made this type of app that uses mouth to control the wah٫ pitch shifter and a volume pedal. Very nice to see something like that im sure you would have fun with that lots and I subscribed to your second channel you make great content from back in 2019 keep it goin🤟👏👏

So funny! How you kept from cracking up is beyond me🤣 I may have dreamt it but I remember someone inventing a small light-sensetive device that you held between your teeth and worked the same way: the more you opened your lips, the more light reached and the greater the effect. Oh btw, I hope your app is called Guitar Face 😁

Sic! Do you have one for keyboards?
@RachelfGuitar Жыл бұрын
Right now this should work for any signal producing instrument that you can plug into an audio interface (like a bass as well). So maybe if your keyboard can be recorded like that it would work, but I'm not sure how common that is. Would probably have to do something based on MIDI to handle most keyboards
