Haha this puzzle is ridiculous but I love it. The exploded look of the scrambled puzzle is super cool :) Hopefully the limited moves help with solving!

This is super cool! I barely noticed the smaller corner until you pointed it out in the video. Can't wait to see the solving process, perhaps it'll be similar to the puppet cube?
@CubesMadeEasy3 күн бұрын
Thanks, and yeah from certain angles it's hard to see the smaller corner. I'd personally be surprised if the solve is similar to a puppet cube, but it's not out of the question. Maybe I should buy those and try them out first.

Lmao I did not expect the B roll to just be the cube on a bunch of tree branches. Actually a hilarious bit
@CubesMadeEasyКүн бұрын
It's not always tree branches 😂 Last video (minotaur's maze) I put the puzzle on a rusted out barge. And next video (not out yet) I have some clips of the puzzle on a random abandoned car I found deep in the woods, flipped over 🙃

I am quite sure, if you take your time, you can solve it, it is only a matter of patience, since this kind of puzzles can look very frustrating once you start, until you have a lot of time on them they tend to look like no progress is been archived. Congratulations on creating such a beast ... complexity similar to PupPet ones, but in a pure 2x2x2 form with extra complexity because overlapping. I love to see this kind of creations, they imply a hard thinking person.... not all can desing this things.

I’ve been watching you since 2021 & have been amazed by your builds. You’re one of the main reasons I got a 3D Printer & since then, I’ve made quite a few of my own twisty puzzles & own around 55 cubes now. Keep it up, man!

Thanks, that's awesome to hear! I always love seeing more folks getting into puzzle design and creating their own puzzles.

If you sell the cube I bet that there will be some puppet cube masters that will solve in a week
@CubesMadeEasy3 күн бұрын
You're probably right! This would be a pretty simple puzzle to sell, too, so it'll probably be in the first round of the updated store puzzles.

Its really surprising it scrambles that much

Yeah, definitely. I wonder if there's anything else I could change to get it to scramble even more.

A great video with excellent storytelling! I didn't think that such an "easy" change in a classical 2x2 puzzle could lead to such a nightmarish solve! For the solve, I like your concept of solving all your own creations though this one might be tough. In my opinion, a true solve would be figuring out a method that's repeatable, not just being lucky once. For this puzzle though, thanks to the few available moves, backtracking exactly what you did to scramble it might be the only solution path! A more interesting approach would be to start with the design and figure out all possible combinations of available turns/lega states to therefore see available moves more easily! If you figure such a method out, I'm interested in seeing that video! :P
@CubesMadeEasy3 күн бұрын
Thanks Dario, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I definitely agree that I want to actually figure out a solution rather than simply turning it until it's solved. My current theory is there's certain states that act as gates, and on either side there's finite loops of available moves, but to get from one loop to another you have to go through a gate. Writing down the possible states is probably a good idea, within reason.

When shuffled while filming everything with a cam. I don't see why it would be complicated if you easily can trace back the shuffle via footage. Still this is a great evil 2x2!
@CubesMadeEasy3 күн бұрын
That wouldn't be any fun, though. I want to actually figure out a solution instead of retracing my steps from the recording. If I really get stuck I can take the caps off and put them back on in the solved state.

Is it possible to build an «evil twin» kilominx or «evil twin» master kilominx?

I actually don't know. Instinctively I'd lean towards saying it's not possible, but maybe I'll try sketching one out and see.

I have a friend who likes cubing, so i'd love to print this and give it to him as a twisted christmas gift. Do you know where I could find the print files for it? (also, on a semi-related note, i'd probably call it the "2x2 Diablo" as i personally think that sounds a bit more catchy)
