There was definitely a bit of a learning curve with Dan getting the feel for the channel and how "intrusive" the edits should be, but now I feel like he's been a really great addition. Love the little jokes/funny quips that appear off to the side, goofy images hiding behind Tyler, etc. Well done!

This is such an amazing zachlike, the thing about zachlikes is that you can think really hard on optimising a solution, but being presented a solution (especially with the notes from your editor) is easily understandable while still showing the complexity of the process. So i can appreciate your victories without having to put much mental effort in myself, which is why i watch this channel.

4:04 You're unrolling the loop, basically. Before you were reusing the same scanners but that uses extra time as the bots travel back. You've cut out some of that time by adding redundant scanners. Compilers do a similar thing to optimize small for-loops. Instead of writing the loop once and jumping back to the start, they just copy out the loop N times. It uses more space but is faster.
@torinpena2882 жыл бұрын
When I started watching this video, I knew it felt similar to a 2D flash game I played awhile back--and the 2022 part pretty much confirmed it. The belt mechanics are slightly different (you could cross two belts over by holding shift but they'd be directional) but the tape reading mechanics are pretty much the same. That small difference in belt mechanics might lead to the scenario where a pipe can be used to have bidirectional movement spaced 1 or more blocks apart. So a pipe with both ends having a scanner with one output pointing towards the pipe.

I like this series very much! Following through every level, seeing every logic of Tyler is really fulfilling somehow. The level isn't repetitive in any ways, which is impressive given how there are so much factory games out there already.
@FernTheRobot2 жыл бұрын
I'm kinda mad that KZbin didn't recommend me this earlier, because it means that youtube thinks it doesn't do well enough to deserve to spread it far and wide. That's a sad sentence to think about. I genuinely wish for this series' continuation. If Tyler decides to not continue the series I might just go buy this game instead.
