Hey Ocean, I'm a new subscriber but I've been binge watching your videos a ton. It's been tough mentally to get through my life for the past few years and just this year I've been starting to get back how I as myself used to be. I've come a full circle with what I want to do in my life and music is it, music production is something I want to get into and as of now I'm learning with FL studio mobile since I don't have a computer to work with. What I had in mind when starting to write this comment was that your videos takes me to a place in my mind where it's calm, where I feel like I can live my life to the fullest and enjoy it while doing so. So thank you that's all.

You can use it with midi as well: making your melody on logic and then record the synth output. It can be usefull if you want to record some automations in live like moving the cut off :)

The OG Minilogue is great. The Minilogue XD (the upgrade) is amazing. The third oscillator is customizable so you can make endless sounds. I have the flagship one the Korg Prologue which also has the third oscillator. Split the keyboard and play two sounds and sequence it with my MPC. Tuff!! Old school style with new school instruments.

Hi I am a blind trying to become a producer since I cannot use any daws I am looking for a hardware could u suggest me any accessible hardware ?
@RoomAtTheTopStudio4 жыл бұрын
@@samroyproductions3476 You are going to need help when producing so you could play an instrument but the engineer would have to be able to use the DAW for you. People get beat makers and producers confused. To produce you need to be able to put the project together with the team available to you. If you want to make the instrumental you could have an engineer record for you and mix for you. Your mastering engineer will master for you. If you couldn't make the beats then you bring in a musician to make the beats for you. Putting the team together to create and finish the project you have in your mind is producing. I hope this gives you a better idea of what to do. As for hardware you will have to choose what works for you.
@samroyproductions34764 жыл бұрын
@@RoomAtTheTopStudio my question is is it possible to complete a project using a hardware without any daw
@RoomAtTheTopStudio4 жыл бұрын
@@samroyproductions3476 of course it is. You would have to track everything to either a tape multi track machine or digital one. I did Jungle and Reggae on an 8 track Fostex hard disc DMT8 VL back in the days. This was mixed to a DAT which was a Sony DAT Walkman. You could make a hardware set up and record it to a Roland VS2480. They go for cheap nowadays. Back when I was using the Fostex DMT8 VL the Roland was out of the budget that I wanted to spend so I had to do with 8 tracks instead of 16. I think the 2480 is 24 tracks. That and a DAT machine and you have what you need to record and mix.

Hey Ocean I do think there’s a way to plug the minilogue in through usb and create quantizable midi arrangements instead of recording audio. You probably need a Korg driver and then when you create a new track select External Midi. That’s what I had to do for my Korg Kronos, but the minilogue might be different
