I made an Octopus Shaker/Snowglobe

Coastal resin themes are one of my favorites to work with and I had so much fun making these.

They are all so cute! I'm going to buy some eyes for my octopus mold. My mold looks exactly like yours. What size eyes did yours take? The link is for a multi size pack but I'd like to find a pack with only the one size.

Thanks so much. Sorry I didn't specify. The 6mm fit perfectly. If you want a bigger look, 8mm works also, but these are 6. I use the fishing lure eyes or the glass dragon eyes.

Curious to know your glycerine to water ratio. They look great!

It is usually 1/2 and 1/2. Depending on how heavy the item(s) are that I want to float. The heavier they are, the more glycerin I add. I just eyeball it.

Do you use a vacuum chamber? It’s so crystal clear. Never heard or seen this resin before

Tammy, I do not. I have used several different brands and keep coming back to Puduo. I have a small heater with a thermostat in the room that maintains the temp @ 71°. I will go over it with a torch or spray with 91% alcohol initially. That's it. 😃 I have used my pressure pot a few times but have a hard time screwing the stupid top on tight enough, so I have only used it a few times.

My husband made the pressure pot for me by cknverting a paint sprayer pot. It is amazing, but I can't get the lid screws tight enough. He has to do it for me, and I'm stubborn 😣 The compressor will kick on when it loses pressure and just scares the life out of me. So I don't use it as often as I should. I get great results without it. But they would be even better with it.
