The cheating in this game has gotten progressively worse. The last 3 seasons have been so bad that I'm literally seeing at least 3-4 every day. Every single time I open Overwatch for the first time of the day I'm getting back the notification that my report caught a cheater. They legit need to implement a real anti cheat

No it doesn’t. That is literally backtrack. This is how most if not all projectiles look like while using backtrack. For those who don’t know, backtrack is ping manipulation/spoofing. This allows you to hit shots even if an enemy runs behind cover. In simplest terms; it tells the server you fired your shot a few milliseconds later than what the game registered it at.

@@whrench2676 I did read it, and I still stick by my statement. I have NEVER seen a projectile do that without using backtrack (cheating), however I had no clue you were on console, that has a lot stronger aim assist and maybe has extended hitboxes as well. For PC, I have NEVER seen this happen…

anticheats typically do a radnomized delay ban of a few days after an account is flagged, so i wouldn't get too hyped, this is more for above and beyond blatant cheaters that are essentially full ragehacking.
