"Rubbing butter in your hair is an Ethiopian tradition that protects hair from the sun and enriches the hair with moisture. Although it may sound strange, it is an incredibly hydrating treatment that makes hair feel so much softer and look more defined."- Noona Natural Hair and Beauty
So decided to try it, traditionally this butter is made with fermented butter so I decided to ferment mine before making the butter and applying it to my hair, and this is what happened.

I love this! I’m from Kenya but have not heard of the treatment! I want to try this but during a time I know I will be home for two days. I would want it to really seep in. You hair is so beautiful like you babe ❤

This is really interesting. I my grandma told me that Peulhs (fulani) people use some sort of butter from their cows called dakh on their hair and that it really helps with length. Never had the occasion to see it myself though but I guess long term this might be great for the hair!

I've NEVER heard of putting actual BUTTER in your hair, but I guess I can see how it might be beneficial. However, I think you would have been better off using shea butter next time. You won't have to wash it out immediately after putting it in, so you'll have to benefits much longer. This was an interesting video! Thanks for posting!

It is more common to use butter as a hair treatment in ethiopia. Also think of butter as a substitute for yogurt hair treatments. It basically gives similar benefits.

This is a disposable hair treatment, Shea butter is best to use as a sealant indeed, not as a treatment unless you have money growing on trees

Hi...this is the first of your videos I watched and well, Ethiopian Butter from whipped cream seems to be a great diy. But, hmmm, no follow-up. I'm curious since your stylist suggested a cumulative effect. Did you do this weekly, or maybe never bothered after this experience? THANKS.

What kind of blow dryer brush did you use? Do you feel like it worked well with thick hair? I have tried some, but my hair always seems extremely thick for it and takes forever.

Seems like that would smell bad if you let it sit out on the counter for 3 days. It was spoiled. Why was that necessary?

@@vastya.3255yes 🙄 🤨 what was the point of this comment? We don’t let the butter we go to eat sit on the countertop for three days before refrigerating.
