I’m not sure about Rex’s realistic helmet design. The mouthpiece isn’t angled correctly. Rex’s helmet is supposed to be a combination between Phase 1 and Phase 2 helmets, with the visor and mouth piece of Phase 1 while retaining the chin filters of Phase 2 armor. But if you look at the weld seams, it is not like the Phase 2 lower section of the helmet was just slapped on a Phase 1 helmet frame. My theory is that Rex did in fact customize his Phase 1 helmet but instead of using parts off a normal Phase 2 hemet, Rex used the prototype Phase 2 armor or some variant of it, like the early Phase 2 ARC trooper helmets seen on Commander Colt from the Battle of Kamino Arc. This is just a theory, obviously not cannon, but I feel like the hemet models from the games and the Ashoka live action show are just too different to overlook. It has always bothered me for some reason.
